We purchased a takeout chicken dinner for 2. What a treat! 6 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, coleslaw and biscuits for $15. The chicken was moist and flavorful; the biscuits were tender; the potatoes & dressing were good. We're going back with family and try the family style dinner.

Been here on several occasions since moving to town. Don't plan on a having a shake... The machine has has "been down" EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. that I have came here. Tonight was no different. Shake machine down, fries were cold and mushy and the girl at the window was super rude and the service is SLOWWWW. Probably won't be returning.

On the corner of us23 & m61.
We had dinner here when we were on our way to the RiverView Campground in Sterling. The place is very clean and well attended. The menu is typical bar food with a large selection of burgers, sandwhiches, salads, dinners and appetizers. We ordered a burrito which was quite good as well as some fried mushrooms and mozzerella sticks. My son had a cheeseburger which was also good. The wait staff was friendly and very attentive to our group. Overall, it's a good place for some good food.

We frequently stop at A&W while traveling throughout northeast Michigan. The burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, and sides are pretty standard fare. The rootbeer, however, is exceptional. I like the blended rootbeer/ice cream floats; my wife prefers the regular rootbeer floats. This is one of the few locations which offers drive-up, not drive-through service. Customers place their orders if they choose to eat in the vehicle by driving into the parking area and placing the order on a special telephone. The sound cracks and snaps, just like the speakerphones did 50 years ago. A waitress brings the meal (on a tray) to the car and places the tray on a partially rolled-up window. Enjoy.Patrons can also dine inside the restaurant, Again, orders are taken by using the telephones at each table. My favorite dish is the footlong coney island with extra onions. We will likely return 2-3 times this summer.

The place is a dive from both inside and out. That being said, the food was decent, the staff are phenomenal, and the prices are very reasonable. The place is very small and seating is limited so probably not the best choice if you are in a large group. Sunday morning they were slammed but the waitresses helped each other and moved as quickly as possible. We did ask the waitress what was in the Howard's special and she said she thought eggs, some meat, hash browns, and cheese and it was smothered in sausage gravy. It wasn't that. It was basically hash browns with biscuits smothered in the gravy. Three of us ordered that and were disappointed only because it wasn't what we expected. The food was average. My husband had an omelet and he said it was very good. The place was busy but the two women were great.

Traveling through the state this weekend we were looking for a place to eat. We found the food at the DuRusselâs to be very good. We tried the bluegill which is on the entrée part of the menu, and it was outstanding. The light breading was done crispy and had a slightly sweet salt and pepper taste without any fishy taste whatsoever. We also tried the hot poppers hamburger which was also very good . Additionally we recommend for Sunday their special bloody Mary, again done perfectly with the salt and pepper rim and just the right amount of hot.The service was friendly and quick which works out very well if youâre traveling. She brought a very nice salad very quickly to the establishments credit. On the downside the bathroom was dirty with paper around the floor and obvious neglect. One of the lights on the side of the room kept coming on and off when the door opened and closed. In the end if youâre traveling through Standish we would recommend this place for a quick bite to eat.

We stopped in for dinner, and enjoyed the experience. This is an old-school, small town family-restaurant; offering decent food, at down-home prices. Our server, Arica, was friendly and attentive. She said it was her first day, but she served us like seasoned staff. We both had the perch dinner, which included a side and full salad bar; quite a good deal. The perch was decent (though we like a bit less breading), and the salad bar was excellent. There was a nice selection of fresh items from which to choose; with the homemade soups being especially tasty (the potato salads also being quite nice). This establishment is a very solid option; if one is wanting good homestyle cooking, at a reasonable price.
