A friend told us about Back 40, glad he did. Probably the best salsa I've ever had. Everything is fresh. The service was fantastic. Great vibe. I can't wait to go back.

Wow, is the word for this restaurant!!!The food was very good, the server was a gem and left us wanting for nothing. This establishment and menu remains relatively unchanged for many, many years. A word for diners: they do not take reservations or credit cards, so bring your patience and cash. Plenty of parking, you won't be disappointed.Highly recommend for shrimp, scallops and fried chicken.Cheers

We didn't realize that Ned's had been sold a year or so ago. But the new owner seems to have kept everything the same. We went in late one night when they were close to closing. We wondered how good the food would be as it would be the last meals cooked for the night. But everything was well prepared, hot and tasty. Very reasonably priced.

We sat on the upper deck after sunset since there was nice breeze blowing. My husband & I enjoyed the Blackened Seafood and the Blackened Chicken. The overall experience would have been been better if the waiter would have been more personable. He seemed bothered that he had to wait on us.

We dined at Brisky's for lunch while on vacation in St. Augustine. Lena was our waitress and let me just say, she is the best in the business. Her authentic Southerern charm when she called you darlin' and brought you sweet tea started the whole ambiance. Every.Single.Thing. was delicious. My husband and I had the brisket, chopped pork, ribs, smoked sausage, potato salad, coleslaw, mac n cheese, baked beans and hand cut fries. The entire meal was just utterly amazing. The ranch she brought to dip our fries in was house made and the best I have ever had. The homemade sauces will not disappoint, sweet, tangy and delicious. Even though we had to loosen our belts after, it didn't take much arm twisting to have us try dessert....pecan bread pudding. I'll just pause so you can visualize the warm, gooey delicious smothered in caramel treat this was. This was the best meal we had our whole vacation and in addition to the quality of the food, the service was bar none. The owner personally came out and checked on tables and several waiters not serving us made eye contact, asked how we were enjoying our meal. Can I rate this 10 stars?

We arrived as the restaurant was doing a charity fundraiser with some items for sale and even a dunkin tank. Wait was not long and comfortable seating outside under some trees. All food was made on sight and you could smell it cooking a long ways off. We had the half lean brisket and half ribs pecker plate. Our sides were mac and cheese, cole slaw, corn on the cob and my favorite datil baked beans. Everything was excellent including the service. Please is located not far from the Shands bridge and a short walk to the Shands fishing pier. Place felt like everyone were friends.

I am living up here as a travel nurse and love to go out to breakfast. This restaurant is off the beaten path. I went because of all of the good reviews. It was crowded and there is no parking. The breakfast was good but nothing to write home about in my opinion.

I had an amazing meal, it had the right amount of spice. The shrimp etouffee was very good.My husband had the fish and chips which was excellent as well.Service was excellent too.Our first time in St Augustine. I had gotten a little tired of all the fried food, so this was perfect. Welcome to Saint Augustine! Glad you found us! We are a little off the beaten path and you make a great point about fried food being the norm for Southern Restuarants. We also have some of the best fried food in the city like fried shrimp in our Shrimp Po Boy and our Famous Fried Chicken BUT we like to specialize in non fried cuisine as well. The fish and grits are sauted and as you mentioned the etoufee is a great alternative to fried food. For people like your husband that are looking for fried food, our fish and chips are one of our best sellers! Thank you for the lovely review.
