If you are looking for a great lunch, this is the place to go. Have been here a few times and tried the chowder and several hot dogs. They make a bunch of different toppings for the hot dogs, and I plan to eventually try all! My wife fancies the sandwiches here, so we frequent it as much as possible. If you are tired of fast food, give this place a shot! The prices are super reasonable and the value is great (short dough)
This is the only place in town where the cook actually knows how to make scrambled eggs, "European" style, that is slightly loose and moist. He does this consistantly. Try the Ham, egg and cheese sandwich on a bulkie for breakfast and you will find it to be delicious and filling.

We've been taking a week in New England each Autumn for more than 30 years; the first night of the trip each year we stop in Sturbridge at The Publick House. This year's "opening dinner" did not disappoint. The roasted duck was lovely, and the rib eye was juicy.... cooked long enough to render the fat and moisten the steak, but plenty rare.White chowder and the wedge salad were delicious.... and the Indian pudding was just like it always is- delicious. Our waiter was CHARLES. He's a gem. When you make your reservations (and you should) ask to be seated with Charles. He's attentive and quick, and has as splendid sense of humor..

Omelette is pillow style and chock full of 3 meats and cheese. The marbled rye toast was great as were the home fries. The waitress was very friendly courteous and prompt. The place has a lot of character as do the customers of Southbridge.

Awful experience. My wife was asleep and I was in the bathroom when I heard persistent knocking on our door. I knew it wasnât housekeeping because we had hung the provided sign outside of our door. So I rushed out of the bathroom to find out what was going on when I heard whoever was on the other side trying to enter the room. When I opened the door I saw a housekeeper. She laughed and said âoh, sorryâ and walked away. I asked her if she saw the sign hanging on the door knob, and she just replied âNo English.â I expected more from this facility but if they donât even have the fundamental, most important aspects of training covered for their housekeeping staff, I canât recommend this place to anyone. When I called the front desk the apologized and said theyâd address it with their housekeeping manager, but unfortunately Iâve heard that one before. Itâs just something they sat to try to appease a guest complaining about something.

Established in 1986, Margaux's is the original! We feature our exclusive combinations, specialty wraps, deli salads, and homemade soups. Also serving chili & taco salads, barbecue & ruben sandwiches. Truly the best deli in town!
I had passed by Margaux's for years and finally had a chance to grab lunch one afternoon while headed through Southbridge. Obviously, I had been hearing amazing things about the deli for years and had pretty high expectations and was quite thrilled to finally giving it a try. It's a small deli, only a few people working (three on the day I was there) - really, nothing special. I had to greet staff...no one welcomed me, no one even said hello. The specials are listed on a menu board on the SIDE of the counter...so, I had to ask and I got a finger pointed to the side of the wall. Placed my order of a sandwich, soup and chips. Price are on the high side of average for sandwiches...cold sandwiches at that...and soup. And, sorry to say it but my sandwich was only average too. All in all, not impressed...an average sandwich shop. What I like and applaud is that it's likely a independently owned shop and, that, I fully support. Staff should really be trained a bit more though as a little personality can go a long way.

Teddy G's is a neighborhood hangout where people can gather, eat delicious food and be with friends. All of our food is made fresh-to-order, whether it's our gourmet pizza, pastas, burgers, salads sourced with fresh produce, steak, or seafood. We're a loc
This place is average on every level, even their beer is average- how they present their beer on a big chalk board that half the restaurant canât see is not user friendly. Server didnât know much about food or drinks. Nothing special here...

I get together with friends every sunday morning and go here for breakfast after church Today I had two eggs with sourdough toast and substituted tomato slices for the home fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff was great. It was a real treat. At this place they serve tomato slices, asparagus and spinach as a side at breakfast.

We ate lunch here while traveling thru the area. Really good food and great service. We had four of their daily specials and each was good. We sat at the counter because they didnât have a table and enjoyed interacting with the staff on the other side. Would definitely do it again.

Fins and Tales never disappoints! We spent Thanksgiving Eve there. The food as always was excellent as was the service and there was light entertainment that made it easy to talk but still listen to the music! I highly recommend spending an evening there!
