We have been going to the Chowder Bowl since it originally opened. They have fantastic chowder, great fries and are very accommodating to customers with gluten free needs. They have even suggested other local locations with GF chowder and allowed us to bring it in for a GF member of the family. This is exceptional service that other chowder restaurants will not accommodate. ( They are also pet friendly on their patio!)

I recently stayed in Newport for two nights at The Whaler motel a few blocks from Cafe Stephanie. can't say how Cafe Stephanie compares to other breakfast options in Newport because I had such a good experience here my first morning in Newport, that I came here the next day. It's a small place with a friendly staff. The food is great as is the price.

Our group of four enjoyed our visit immensely. We sat outside on the patio, and enjoyed the beautiful day while eating the delicious food. I enjoyed the Taugues Delight, Irish style sausages smothered in seasoned apples and onions sauteed in Strongbow hard cider, served with mashed potatoes, peas, and a side of our house mushroom gravy. It was delicious, and far too large a portion for me to finish. Others in the party enjoyed the Veggie Sandwich, the Dublin Burger and the Vegetarian Celtic Curry Pie. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Service was good, but not exceptionally fast or attentive. If I lived in the area, I would return.

Newport Oregon Top Rated Restaurant with breathtaking views of Yaquina Bay, Yaquina Bay Bridge and the Sea Lions. Comfortable, indoor and outdoor seating with the finest food on the coast! Fresh! Lunch, dinner and bar and lounge.
On a recent trip, The Clearwater was recommended to us. Great choice! I had the best meal of my trip- a Coconut Curry Stew, with a side of sticky rice. Highly recommended. The kitchen forgot the green beans in the stew, but our friendly server happily brought some. We ate outdoors, which the cacophony of the male sea lions was highly entertaining. There is a generous wine list as well, even by the glass.

This was previously known as "Gino's Fish Market."
Finding clear gluten-free options on the Oregon coast wasn't as easy as expected. This place had a review that they did have options and it is true. They have a few dishes and were able to make substitutions where necessary, but make sure you know what might have gluten (e.g. wild rice) because they weren't initially aware. Pretty good meal for both GF and non-GF but pricey. Unless you get a simple salad or something deep fried plan to spend at least $25 per person.

You enter Georgie's Beachside Grill and the first thing you notice is the view. The Pacific Ocean unfolds from tableside windows and sets the scene for a remarkable dining experience. Then you notice a few other things. Waiters greet people with a warm sm
We eat here every year when we stay at Hallmark Resort. Yes, it's convenient because they're connected, but the food is mouthwatering...Oregon's #1 clam chowder! Great steaks and outstanding seafood, with a large, varied menu. Large, expansive windows face the Pacific, both in the dining room and the bar area. Management has it right here , too...like the attached resort. Highly trained, smiling, accommodating staff...all of them...many of them veterans here...like Pearl, Juan, Tess, Cassie. Impressive! Thanks for making our yearly vacation so special! See you next year!886vickia, Wow! Thank you for your great review! We are thrilled to be part of your annual trip to Newport! My husband and I ate at this establishment on the advice of several locals who swore it was one of the best places to get seafood in Newport. They were correct. We ordered crab cakes as an appetizer which were excellent. I had a black cod special that was delectable and my husband had fish and chips that were quite good. Service was excellent. I would not hesitate to good back and order one of the many interesting menu items.

After my spouse's eye surgery, we stopped here for breakfast. Our niece had joined us on our first visit to Fishtails Cafe. We observed some fantastic looking french toast and other concoctions that looked delicious. The Marion Berry French Toast looked mouth watering delicious, but way to much this morning. We had decided on omelettes and crab cakes. The crab cakes are some of the best we've ever had!! The omelette was excellent as well. A very very good breakfast. The portions are large so you shouldn't leave hungry. The wait staff was great - lots of attention and timed just at the right time as not to be a bother. Well done to all. We will be back soon.

Casual & cozy mom & pop seafood restaurant est. 1995. Healthy, non-fried, perfectly cooked seafood. Prepared in unique steam kettles. Known especially for our tasty Cioppino and Seafood Entrees. "Finest Steamed Seafood on the West Coast" Fish & crab entre
Nothing pretentious about this place. A husband in the kitchen, a welcoming wife at the bar and a son helping all around. Fantastic cioppino (no shells - loaded with seafood) and yummy dungeoness crab. This place is small and not fancy at all. Come for the food and hospitality -
