Cress Creek is a very nice country club. The golf course is always in great shape and it's an enjoyable layout. They recently remodeled the clubhouse and it looks amazing. It's a good place to get a drink and some food. You should check Cress Creek out if you're looking for a club to join.

We've always loved the food here, and talk it up to our guests. What a letdown tonight with guests. I made the mistake of choosing the buffet. The salad tasted like chemicals, the scallops were mushy and tasteless, and the ribs that used to be so spectacular tasted awful. I didn't eat more than two bites. I'm so glad I didn't order them as my entree. After ordering and receiving our food, we had to chase down our server for drink refills and a bread basket. The usually scrumptious spinach dip was tasteless. We had to stack up our used plates on another table because the server did not remove them from our table. After describing how wonderful this place was, I was embarrassed to have taken guests there. I doubt we'll be back.We apologize as a team for your experience. This experience should not of occurred. Thank you for being detailed with your review as we can use the feedback to help improve. We do hope that you will give us another chance to make it up to you.

This funky little place is simple, no frills fun. A century-old warehouse with worn interior and furnishings, and rolling dock doors doesn't need to be anything more. It reminds me of the 80's Patrick Swayze movie "Roadhouse," only missing great music like the movie's Jeff Healy Band. It's always in full-swing business when passing by. Smokers are relegated to screened porch, so good air inside. Food is pretty good. Prices are okay. Bar staff are hip and friendly. Their wide selection of craft ginger ales is unmatched. It's otherwise pretty average -- in a good way -- which is something that Shepherdstown needs.

Didnât see a waitress for 10 min. Ordered the turkey club with red cabbage slaw, but there was no slaw! Very little turkey, actually all bread. Inquiring about it to the waitress she said â thatâs an old menuâ. Probably wonât order food again. Disappointed! This was a Sunday during prime tourist traffic, so much for repeat customers!Hi there! So sincerely sorry to hear about your less-than-perfect visit here this past weekend. We're always working as hard as possible to fix our little blunders. Really hoping this won't keep you away from Domestic! Thanks for sharing your feedback <3

Passing through Shepherdstown we were looking for a local establishment where they served typical comfort food at reasonable prices. This was perfect . Nothing fancy and rather small but offered that small town quaintness. Give it a try!

We love the Moon and go there about once a month. It's especially nice when the weather permits outdoor seating under the trees with the Town Run rushing musically through. The food is reliably good, the service cheerful if not always proficient, the atmosphere always charming.

Not our first time in Shepherdstown / Sharpsburg area, yet our first time dining here. Lovely interior and romantic atmosphere, my wife and I were seated without reservations. We were greeted by our sever and asked if we cared for drinks . Once it became clear we would not be ordering wine or any other beverage containing alcohol, our server's attitude spoiled. I thought perhaps it was just my perception, yet my wife also felt the change in attitude. As we received our soft drinks and requested straws we were reprimanded and informed " you may not have noticed but the world is turning away from the use of straws for the ecology ". I was taken aback and as a life long resident of the New York Metropolitan area I'm not naive nor easily stunned. Honestly, I don't know what prompted such a churlish attitude. Simply informing us they no longer offer straws would have sufficed, it would not have been our first time we were told that. I didn't appreciate, nor did my wife, being " updated " on the latest attempt to preserve the ecology. We travel often and internationally and have received bamboo straws at many establishments. Her negative attitude continued through our meal and while the food was decently prepared and had a nice presentation we will not return. There are many options in the area , sadly I don't know the servers name , but should you encounter a very long haired female please don't request a straw.

My husband and I haven't been here for probably 25 years, so we thought we'd go for lunch the other day. We sat up at the counter which was fun. We were promptly greeted and seated and given menus. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. Prompt also. Our food came pretty quickly and was good and hot. (We both got hamburgers which were delicious.) My low rating is for the lack of cleanliness: The counter was clean, however, the vent above us was filthy! Also, and this is my biggest negative observation, we observed our waitress handle cash three times without washing her hands- because in between the cash, she was slicing lemons for tea/water!!! For years, I have not taken lemon in my drinks and this is why. She cut those lemons up with dirty hands (money is extremely dirty!!!). (Ironically, she washed her hands AFTER she cut the lemons.) The sink was attached to the food prep area where she was cutting.- I mean, within INCHES of her work. (Also, she placed our dirty dishes in this food prep area also once we finished.) Employee t-shirts were also very visibly dirty- spotted and greasy looking. No, we won't be back. Unfortunately, this probably goes on every where. If we'd sat in the dinning room, we never would have seen any of this.
