Things to do in Seguin
This place is brand new and it was off to a great start. We had to eat quick so we went in and grabbed a drink and a burger and it was really good. The burger was grilled right there in front. The atmosphere was great, good music with large screen TVâs and so many types of drinks. The workers love their job and are really excited about things to come, like live bands and cool spring nights outside with the large bay doors open.

This Chiliâs was beside our hotel and we visited on a Friday night. There was quite a waiting list but we were seated rather quickly. Our waitress was terrific. I ordered the club and it was so fresh & delicious. Margaritas were mediocre but fried pickles were excellent!

Stopped there for an end of the week lunch and they filled the bill. Great bbq sandwich, good tasting sausage and good sides. Lots of indoor seating. Good, friendly staff.

After a shaky start, 1838 Grill has really come into it's own. The waitstaff is some of the most friendly and efficient in Seguin. The food is plentiful and really good. You won't believe the size of the chicken fried steak! But while you're sitting there gorging on some really great eats, check out those beautiful, mile-high cakes in the old Coke cooler. If you're not sure you'll have room for dessert, take a slice to go. You won't be sorry.

Honestly, somewhat disappointed ... but I may have ordered wrong. Got lamb ribs, sausage link, and cream corn, and a big coke. The very good â cream corn, really flavorful, perfectly cooked. The good â sausage, beef I think, slightly over cooked, great flavor, slight spicy bite, and not greasy. The not so good â lamb ribs, fatty, greasy, not well seasoned; I left 1/2 of the portion. Served with bread, onions, pickles, and sauce â all okay, nothing special. Reasonable price IMO. Iâll try it again, probably get chicken and brisket.

JJ's Cafe is a family owned restaurant in Seguin, Texas which specializes in Home-Made Comfort Foods, Burgers, and more. From our Chicken Fried Steak, to our delicious seafood we have something for everyone.
Drove past this place several times because there is nothing appealing about the exterior. Then someone recommended it to us so we went. The inside is pretty much the same as the exterior, itâs nothing special at all. What did surprise us was the food. The prime rib was excellent, large portions with salad and two sides. Prices were very good as well it is obviously a popular family restaurant. Service was okay but needs work, they didnât remove anything from the table as we finished them. I would return for the food.

Walked in and really loved the interior and feel of the restaurant. Outside views were spectacular. Ordered chips and salsa. Salsa was good, chips were ok. I ordered the turkey wrap and my husband ordered the veggie burger. Waitress was nice enough but never seemed to come out of the kitchen with our food. Over 30 minutes, the waitress informed me that they were out of Turkey. Ok, maybe you could have told me 30 minutes ago and I would have ordered something else. Very unhappy at this point so I ordered the BLT w/homemade chips and we sat and waited again. No manager around to talk to. BLT was as basic as you could get and the homemade chips were overdone and didn't taste good at all. Will not return again.

Smoked with Texas Oak wood for up to 14 hours, True Texas BBQ offers barbecue by the plate or pound, plus delicious sides like brisket beans, creamed corn, potato salad and coleslaw.
Who would have ever imagined that grocery store barbecue would be so good, but it's true! Their brisket is excellent, and their sides are great. They occasionally have "special dishes" like the barbecue on mac and cheese and the barbecue baked potato that are worth the trip on their own. Just remember, studies show that grocery shopping on a full stomach cuts down those impulse buys, so enjoy some really great barbecue in a really convenient location!Well thanks so much! We're so glad you enjoyed dining with us, and we hope you'll stop in again soon!

Great lunch spot! Sandwiches and soups that are filling and tasty! Dessert is fabulous too! Homemade pimento cheese is a favorite as well as the chicken bacon cheddar sandwich. They also have a southwest wrap that is particularly flavorful!
