Things to do in Searcy
The wait staff welcomes you upon entering the cafe, despite being super busy. The cafe is located in the historic downtown Searcy Ark, in a renovated building across the White co courthouse, adjacent to the historic Rialto theater, in an upcoming area of downtown Searcy. The food is fresh and the hand made burgers are a treat , in a world of frozen Burger patties. My husband tried the PB&J Burger and said it was wonderful. The breakfast offerings are cooked to perfection , and can be ordered through out the lunch time. The decor is nostalgic and comfortable.A warning that on Saturdays they can be quite busy, so a week day would offer less of a wait , as they are quite popular .A nice change in a sea of fastfood and chains.

Craving fresh-never-frozen-burgers, premium sliced cheesesteaks piled high on steamed hoagies, and creamy frozen custard made in-house, right in front of you? You're in the right spot. Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes & Fries has brought a fresh, All-American diner
Cute decor, reminiscent of the late 50s, but the burgers and sandwiches were less than hoped for....primarily due to the buns that were more gummy than crisp. A little butter and slight toasting of the buns for burgers and po-boys would make a big difference. Yogurt also needs to be colder.

We were passing through Searcy and were looking for a place to eat on a Sunday afternoon. As a family who enjoys catfish buffets on occasion, we thought we would give Huckleberry's a try...We were all disappointed, and we're not picky...in fact, we're really easy to please. The buffet was full of stuff that was not good. The peel 'em shrimp was so tiny...the gumbo was barely edible...the fish filets were tiny and one batch was way over-salted. The best things we found were on the dessert bar- the cinnamon rolls and ice cream machine. And, you are completely out of luck if you are looking for anything remotely healthy. The staff was not very friendly, and the facility is not nice. And, it was $12.95 per person, which was way too much for the poor quality we received.

J and I Came up to Searcy for equipment stopped here for lunch. It was excellent and you canât go wrong ordering anything here. J had the Cuban served on a long bun with ham and pork. He said it was excellent and he would get it again in a minute. I had the Reuben which was fabulous, lots of thinly cut pastrami. It was piping hot, great bread. The cookie which comes with the meal was delicious. You choose from several. J had snickerdoodle, I had choc chip. There is plenty of room inside 9 tAbles, about 6 outside. They ran out of soup, broccoli cheddar but still had the daily special Mexican chicken and 2 sides. Service was excellent, super clean interior

We came to McAlisters Deli for several reasons: 1. Great food, 2. Great service, 3. Great on a retiree budget. The parking is good, facility was clean, but what amazes us is how quickly they turn around our order. We were in McAlisters in Hot Springs Thursday and it took 20 minutes from ordering to receiving our food. In this McAlisters our for came out in 7 minutes from ordering and they had less associates on staff. Great experience and a thank you to the McAlister's in Searcy.

Wild Sweet William's is a walk-in pastry bar, offering hand-made scones, kolaches, focaccia, babka, cookies, and muffins (sold by the piece or by the dozen). All batches are made fresh daily; store closes when sold out.
Excellent pastries freshly made on-site. Everything tastes wonderful. Great tasting cinnamon rolls and danish. I've never been a fan of scones but their scones were the best I've ever had - I took five of them home to California with me! Be sure to stop and try this place even if you're just driving through the Searcy area.

We had a combination of food. We found the service super friendly and local. The wait time from order to delivery of the food was very quick. Had the pig sandwich which was very good (but too much butter on the bun). The baby back ribs were fall off the bone tender. I had them with the sauce applied, but would have had them without if I had it to do over again. My son had the Super Spud, nothing special. Wife enjoyed the pulled pork. Overall it was a very good meal from a local joint. They had live music going, not sure if that was normal. We had peach cobbler which was good, the blackberry cobbler was over cooked. If I were in town again, Iâd make a visit.

The service is great here but that is where the positive ends. The food was over seasoned. The food amount was not adequate for the price you pay.

Colton's offers up great food, especially the Hawaiian Ribeye, although a little pricey. Friday and Saturday nights and special occassions (ie Mother's Day) always has a wait and slower service since they are SO busy. I recommend going during the week or at lunch time if you can.
