Mingles is now a mobile food truck and can be found near Bailey's Point or on Barren River Dam Road. The food is still great, you can check out their facebook page for more information. Definitely worth a visit! Absolutely the best catfish I've ever eaten.

We're Always Cookin' There's something about a freshly made meal, prepared just for you. Maybe it's a waffle sundae to celebrate the day you get your braces off, or a plate full of loaded hash browns after a Saturday morning soccer game. Whatever the occa

We have eaten breakfast here several times since locals can get coupons in the mail. I usually order scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, hashbrowns or gravy and biscuits. The waffles are really good too. Very reasonably priced for all you get, especially with the coupon. Good service too. The layout is very similar to Waffle House.

This charming restaurant downtown has a limited menu with daily specials. There is a burger of the day and an entree of the day. Other menu items are sandwiches, chicken tenders and salads. All but one of our group ordered a sandwich. The chicken salad sandwich was served on hearty wheat bread which was toasted. The chicken salad was flavorful with lots of dill and did not include any fruit or nuts (good for those with nut allergies). All sandwiches are served with chips but any of several sides can be substituted. Servings are generous and prices were reasonable.

The food can’t be beat here... delicious! Country fried steak is the best hands down, great salad bar, great breakfasts... however, the place needs a thorough cleaning. Does have an odd smell when you walk in. The women’s bathroom wasn’t working, toilets stopped up and had to use the men’s. The staff is friendly. And the place is very inviting. I would just suggest closing down for couple of days, moving everything out and bleaching from top to bottom.

Harper's Catfish

My husband and I travel to Nashville on a weekly basis for his medical treatments. This past week, we had an excessive amount of time to fill around his appointments and decided to try Harper's on the advice of someone we know in Nashville. Its a bit more than an hour's drive from west Nashville and the scenery was quite pretty once we got off of the interstate. Once we arrived, the staff was very friendly and prompt. However, the food was lacking and far from what we consider great catfish. As a result, we won't bother going there again.
