I live in Sauk city and I love going here for food. You can even get late night eats here. I like the hand breaded wings. We've brought friends and family and never had anybody that didn't enjoy their meal.

We stopped for a late lunch on a Friday and missed the rush. Service was speedy and friendly. They have a gigantic menu. My husband had a delicious Reuben that he raved about, and I tried the tenderloin steak sandwich -- it was excellent. Sometimes a steak sandwich can be tough, but this was tender and delicious, smothered in onions, mushrooms, and cheese. We would definitely eat here again.Thank you tigerb for taking the time out of your day to leave us a review! We greatly appreciate the feedback and look forward to seeing both of you again!
They serve breakfast all day. Our party of four ordered one of their combos. 2 eggs 2 pancakes choice of potatoes & meat & 2 pancakes. $7 95 each. The scramble eggs were light & fluffy. They pancakes were excellent. The coffee was perfect. Great service. I would eat here again
Bowling Alley/Bar/Pizzeria
Have been here a handful of times. Lunch with the girls to Fish dinner with the man and carry outs as well, Lunch is a good meal, the carry out for myself was absolutely the best - was the sausage wrap with onions & peppers. My friends pizza not so good the crust was burnt and not eatable. Fish dinner the deep fried good but the baked a bit chewy. Will be back for the lunch that's for sure! Good service too!

unincorporated village of Roxbury
It was a beautiful Sunday morning, so we hopped in the convertible and headed up the road to Roxbury Tavern. It had been some time since we visited for Sunday breakfast and we were looking forward to the experience. Some remodeling has taken place since our last visit. There is a fairly nice small dining room next to the old bar area and the back porch eating area has had the kitchen expanded into it. The restrooms are down a short hallway through the front of the kitchen. We chose the main bar seating area so we could look out of the window. Lots of bicycles came through and stopped at the bar. Some ordered food, but many just asked to get their water bottle refilled or to use the bathroom. The bartender could not have been nicer to the bikers. She had a pitcher of ice water sitting on the bar waiting for them and no statements like "restrooms for patrons only".The menu was small, but a nice variety. My husband ordered salmon benedict and I ordered the multi grain blueberry pancakes. They both came with "fresh fruit" and that turned out to be 2 small kind of dry slices of pineapple, an orange wedge that had been cut for a while and a small slice of melon. The salmon dish was a success, but my pancakes were overdone on the bottom and quite dry. We asked about the owner/chef and she told us he had been ill and was only back to limited cooking. In the past the food here has been phenomenal for such a small place and it clearly suffered with the semi-retirement of the owner/chef.I would go again to see if they could straighten out the consistency of the food quality. It's a charming little slice of rural Wisconsin that I wouldn't want to lose.

Everyone of our "Mother's Day" 4 family generations enjoyed breakfast in Eagle Inn's clean well priced restaurant. We thank Joan who has worked there 23 years giving each of us her excellent caring service. It's a clean place with great service and delicious food. Don't forget the pastries. You're near the river and depending on season, beautiful Bald Eagles!

We stopped there for lunch. Had the tenderloin sandwich which was tender and perfectly done. Also very good cheese curds and cauliflower cheese soup.

Went on a Monday to meet friends and we were amazed at the crowd! The place is popular and packed for good reason. The setting, with view of the Wisconsin River, is great. The staff were friendly (albeit a little TOO attentive). The beer selection is fabulous and the quality is excellent. The food was also reasonable (although not great). We'll definitely be back!

You can't go wrong here! Everything is terrific. Can't recommend it enough. The greater Madison area is lucky to have this fantastic German restaurant.

We had a late lunch at this restaurant, and dined on the shaded, two-level patio seating overlooking the Wisconsin River. The Chicken Salad Wrap (served with a bag of chips and a pickle) was very good, although I added salt to give it a bit more flavor. A friend had a combo of soup and Rueben, and enjoyed both offerings. Another had a pulled pork salad, and felt the pork flavoring was excellent. (She has the small portion, which she felt was ample for a lunch.) You order at the counter here, just like at Culverâs (this restaurant is owned by Curt Culver). They do offer a variety of cocktails!
