This small quaint restaurant has an archway open to the Sanford Antique Mall if you want to do any antiquing. We had a great server. My husband ordered a grilled chicken salad sandwich, before I got to the table, for us to share. My first bite sort of shocked me because it had a different taste to it. I looked at the menu and saw it was made with vidalia dressing. I wasn't sure I liked it (but that was only because it was different). After the second bite I was loving it and was wishing I had more than just a half of sandwich to eat. If I had seen the menu before he ordered it I would have say no. This is a great example of not being afraid to try something new. You may just find something new that you love.

We come here offen. Saturday we had brunch at the booth facing the cooks. I had the 6 oz Stake, eggs, hash browns, and toast for $8.99 which is a excellent deal and it is always great. The service is always great. But, their health score of 97.5 must be fake news. As we were eating we watched one of the cooks eat and drink as the prepared food to be served. She was eating and drinking from a diet coke can. She touched her mouth and face repeatedly and past plates to be servered. I am sure that is a big health violation? Too bad we like dinning here.

Sweet little cafe with homemade food. Two huge delicious pancakes filled me for the day. Partner had eggs cooked to perfection. Delicious endless coffee and service above and beyond expectations. Here for a few days and will go out of my way to eat here again. Forget the fast food and chains, this is what local dining is all about. If that's not enough, prices can't be beat.

10 ladies went here for lunch before the Theatre. It is an easy walk between the two, but watch out for BOTH of the train tracks. They ARE busy. Everyone enjoyed their choices of salads, soups and sandwiches. Most of all - get the Fudge Pie - served warm with ice cream and salted caramel sauce. Our server Caleb really helped to make our visit special.

Great beers, service, sandwiches and sides! All options are excellent, and we especially love the tofu bahn mi, which is a nice surprise for vegetarians. We also enjoyed the band performing there, which they typically do on weekends.

Made reservation and had to wait 15 minutes after reservation time while others were seated before us. After seating we were ready to order. I explained we were seeing a play at Temple Theater and it started at 7:30pm.We had plenty of time and did not need to rush through our meal. They were extremely busy. It was nice when the owner came by the table. I have eaten here many times over the past 10-15 years and have brought groups here for dinner before the plays at Temple. The waitress took our order and directed us to the salad bar. She commented that when we returned from the salad bar she would have the cook start our steaks. I returned from the salad bar and sat down. I had only taken 2 bites of my salad when my meal was set in front of me. The steak was thin and over cooked, not medium rare as ordered. I finished my salad, crackers and drank my wine. The waitress came back and asked if I wanted my steak and sweet potato warmed up. I declined since the steak was already over cook. I ended up bringing the meal home and have still not eaten my $32.00 meal ,3 days later. This is the worst experience I have ever had at this restaurant. No one tried to even make this a turn around event or even offer an apology or to cook me another steak I will not be going back to this restaurant again and I will stop recommending it to others !!!! .

I've tried breakfast and lunch here and different items from the menu. The plates are full, but the food is just so bland. I had a patty melt and the beef was just plain. Swiss cheese tasted like it wasnt real cheese. French fries and milkshake were good. Seafood on Fridays - just don't do it. The breakfasts are plain and tasteless. Go to Cracker Barrel, it tastes better. The customer service is decent, but the staff seemed like they did not like thier jobs. The diner itself is cute and nicely updated.Thanks for the visit and the review. Sorry your Patty Melt missed the mark. I can assure you we use real cheese. We use the best product available. We sell a great deal of seafood and have many positive comments on the quality and taste. I invite you to give us another try. Once again, thank you for your visit. In town to visit my son. This is the 2nd time here. The food was wonderful. We were in lounge area which was nice and our server was great. Will be back when weâre in town again. This restaurant is a converted home with original floors fixtures and antiques throughout. Hours are only 11am-2pm and there's a small sign posted at the cashiers desk notifying guests they are now closed on Mondays. The menu has a good variety of both warm and cold sandwiches, along with salad options and 2 soups of the day. Although we waited 15 minutes for seating, it was well worth the wait. Portions sizes are ample for lunch, and the food was wonderful. Once our beverage orders were provided, the waitress brought additional carafes of our beverage choices to the table which was a nice touch to prevent the need for requesting refills. Service was great and the staff were extremely nice. Will definitely dine again when back in town.
