Had a great time eating dinner with good friends and had lovely service at the bar. A shout out to Eric the bartender. Very personable and great knowledge of food and drinks. Food was excellent. Highly recommended. Get there early as it is busy.

Bistro Viz keeps on getting better and better. Last night we experienced an exceptional Valentine's Day dinner. Normally you don't expect the highest quality on Valentine's Day. You gotta take your honey to a nice romantic place, but it's a bit of a crazy night from a restaurant's perspective. But not at Bistro Viz where the creatively designed menu with intriguing wine pairings gave back more than anyone expected. Every dish was perfectly presented and so delicious and flavorful that I still feel my palate savoring the tastes. Mushroom salad was an absolute winner. Scallops very nicely prepared. Short ribs-- a helalthy portion with so superb favors that after tasting this preparation you wonder if you have ever really eaten proper short ribs before. And then the duck confit--just perfect. We could tell Soo Young Kim was in the kitchen and hands on! Service was gracious. Ambiance was tasteful, comfortable, and relaxing. Easy street parking next to the San Anselmo Post Office.

Marin Countyâs award-winning artisan pizzas, chef-built salads, sandwiches and specials. Open 7-days a week. The best craft beer selection on tap, with 40 draft handles pouring over 30 craft beers from more than 25 craft breweries, plus regional wines, ha
They have a large beer selection, although the one special had just run out when we were there. Almost everyone in the restaurant ordered pizza from what I could tell. The pizzas are about 12" and good for two people to share although you may want another dish or salad if you are really hungry. We asked the bartender for a recommendation since we couldn't decide between two options and he said the Geronimo pizza. It did not disappoint and the burrata on top made it so delicious. I have already recommended this place to some friends and can't wait to go back!

We go to Theresa and Johnny's every Sunday morning without fail. It never disappoints. Although we have our favorites from the many omelet, pancake, and waffle options we sometimes spring for a special featuring the freshest seasonal fruit. Service is great. Atmosphere very homey. Lots of regulars are there week after week but there is always room for more folks.

Terrapin Crossroads is a healthy down-home all-American eatery, taproom & lounge. We provide a comfortable, family-friendly environment, that merges music with food. We pride ourselves on our fresh, unique beer selection and a delicious and approachable m
To date, I have found Terrapin Crossroads to be the best live music venue in Marin. Adding to that, it also has fabulous food in the restaurant area, with great service. The restaurant has both upstairs and downstairs dining. Go upstairs if you prefer just to eat and donât want to see the live bands, or alternately, sit downstairs and enjoy the food and see the musicians in action. If you donât want food, just hang out in the bar area, which serves a multitude of cocktails, and watch the live bands. If you want a truely great live, yet fairly intimate, music experience, you can get tickets for the âspecialâ artists and bands that perform at Terrapin. Google their site to check upcoming gigs. We recently saw the legendary Colin Hay (ex lead singer and song writer for the Aussie band Men At Work.....famous for âI live in land Down Under...â, amongst many others. I am an Aussie ex-pat living in Marin County. Seeing Colin Hay and his totally awesome and talented band in such an intimate venue, was definitely very special. Brunch, minus the music, is also a fab option. Indoor or outdoor dining. Plenty of parking onsite, with complimentary (free) valet parking service. What more could you ask for? Enjoy

Weâre Fairfax locals and have enjoyed coming to Barefoot for years. I am very picky with fish and Barefoot always serves the best variety. The owner goes to market twice weekly and creates a daily special that is my typical go to. They have homemade soups and fresh salads and serve a nice array of wines and now serve cocktails! Service has can be hit or miss but the manager is always on site and very responsive to issues.

This place is remarkable. Itâs quiet and personal service like the old days. Food is terrific and the proprietor Michelle is real hands-on. The gorgeous photographs are all taken by her and thatâs her first love but she doesnât spare any energy in love with the restaurant itself. I had the alligator omelette which was tasty and I will go back there in a heartbeat.

I created a party for 9 friends at Sunday brunch recently. It was smooth and friendly from the get go and our server Rose was wonderful. Every order was successful and the coffee was divine. We might make this a quarterly event. The menu is varied, accommodating of all eating styles and delish. Thanks! Kate

Everyone raves about the Chinese Chicken Salad for good reason, it is the best. I recently stopped by for one of their take-out cartons stocked in the fridge and they only had the large size available (and it is large!) However, they were happy to make up a small size for me (still an ample portion) which I happily ate for dinner. The next day I was back to try the Greek salad and some roasted vegetables. All delicious. A San Anselmo treasure for sure.
