Come try our semi-famous Samburger!! Also, serving a tasty philly cheesesteak with numerous handmade sides to choose from!! Pizzas are delicious and we have many deli sandwiches to satisfy your cravings!!
Recently moved to Rome (Armuchee), not far from this location. Thought we would try it, and sure are glad we did. The sandwiches were delicious, and that would be great all by itself, but the staff, especially the owner, are super friendly, engaging, and really made the visit, and the experience, exceptional. We will return here to try all the offerings, but the first visit was really impressive.

Perfect food. Perfect music. Perfect service. Price...ah. They put alcohol in the drinks so I guess $50 foe 2 isn't really that bad. We started with Boundin Balls or something like that. Really good and slightly spicy. Glenn had Jambalaya and I has Seafood Gumbo. Sooooo good. The course bread was worth he battle. The mixture of flavors. Just really loved it. Of course we have been trying to make it convenient to go for months. It was worth the wait and effort.

Going Caching 2018. Pretty busy place for a Friday lunch. Finding parking on Broad Street can be tricky. I believe this restaurant is a chain and have eaten at others before. Standard buffalo hot wings, great fried pickles, and a chef salad were our fare. No complaints, fast friendly staff took good care of us. The joint almost feels like a college bar. I can endorse this restaurant.

Ordered a Turben sandwich (turkey for pastrami ) Reuben. Waitress never heard of it,and its served everywhere . It was on marbled rye, which 1 side was wet, soggy, either from too much butter when grilled or plated and sat there, and condensation took over the bottom slice of bread. Thinly sliced turkey was blackened not just warmed. They were not generous with kraut and dressing. They were $12 each,so we expected more. We didn't question cost but $10 is usual for this sandwich, unless it's a NY deli. Had to ask for silverware, and waited on refills. Inside was very nice and great art work.

I've had a hard time finding a decent Rueben in Rome...until now! I was really pleased with the corned beef (sliced and thick "not New York thick, but plenty"). And then we tried the call ahead dinner (chicken tenders, mac 'n cheese, and roasted broccoli). Everything was DELICIOUS!! The amount of food you get is definitely enough for a family of 4-5 (or plenty of leftovers for night 2)!! Then we tried the poppyseed chicken casserole and loved it. Highly recommend.

For 34 years Romans young and old have enjoyed lunch and dinner at one location that remains popular no matter how many restaurants move onto Broad Street: Schroeder's New Deli. Come sit on our side walk café, toss back a cold one and indulge in one of ou
We stopped by for lunch while spending the day walking and shopping in downtown Rome. The staff was friendly and prompt. I had the Chicken guacamole pita and it was excellent.

The downtown area of Rome seems very nice. Old storefronts and a mostly easy vibe. It seemed natural that a restaurant called The Mellow Mushroom should be a stop. Where do I begin? Restrooms were filthy. The music at 11:00am was ridiculously loud and with what sounded like a blown speaker, it was intolerable. The menu (mine had catsup all over the cover) is typical pub with burgers and pizzas along with a few apparent local favorites. The pizza was doughy and chewy, not how we like our pizza but some may like it. The burger was ok but the bun bottom was soggy, borderline wet. The burger came with roasted red potatoes that were pretty good but I found it interesting that âupgradingâ to chips was an option...for an additional $1.50. I would have expected that to work the other way around. I eventually ordered a salad to offset my disappointment in the other menu items and it was not bad, but it was a small portion.I good scrubbing and a menu update could only improve this place. In fairness, Rome is a college town and I suspect that this place gets a good following of younger folks more interested in the beer and dating scene than much else.Thank you Chubbahill for talking the time to write a review about my restaurant, the Mellow Mushroom in downtown Rome Ga. I apologise if things we not up to par. I take pride in my restaurant and I'm truly sorry if things were not exactly to your taste. I appreciate your feedback and as always we hope to see you again.

A year ago we came to "Going Caching" and had lunch here. I knew if we returned we would have lunch here.I had the Reuben with potato salad again! I forgot the salad wasn't my favorite, but the Reuben was as I remember. My wife changed and also had a sandwich. She liked it. I still need to try one of the signature sandwiches, but think next year it will be the peanut butter sandwich. Thanks for hosting one of the Geocaches for the event. That is what brought us here last year.

Totally new! Tore down the old one. No more breakfast buffet - too bad - it was awesome. This is a very large building; order at the counter, or table service. Great place; Great employees.

Got the referral from a Berry College student and the meal did not disappoint. It's a busy place but the entire staff works together to make your visit a pleasure. The food is Southern comfort and is delicious and is served hot and quickly. If you have a pet, you can both eat on the roof. The walls are decorated with fun hangings and paintings. But, the food is the thing. The Cuban sandwich was huge and the Chicken Salad is fresh with big chunks of chicken with celery and onions and a home made dressing. The sweet and sour cucumbers are made in house by one of the kitchen staff and are delicious. Had an appetizer of Fried Oysters. I try to be gluten free but had decided that this sounded too good to pass up. I really lucked out because they breaded with cornmeal instead of flour. Oh, what a delicious treat. And, the in house tartar sauce was great, too. The hot sauce was too hot, so just didn't eat that. W
