Lunch with a church group yesterday. Polite staff, reasonable prices. A little slow but we had a large group which gave us time to fellowship. Catfish was very good with a light breading that was not greasy like so many places. Generous helping of fries - actually too many for me. Good hushpuppies. All in all, a pleasant experience. Will definitely be going back soon.

3 family members on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. We have eaten here several times & it has always been a 4 or 5. Today was a 3 due to either a mix up by the server in turning in the order or the kitchen in not correctly reading the order. Either way 2 out of the 3 meals came out completely wrong. So one of us had to go ahead & eat before the food got cold. The other 2 orders came out several minutes later (parts of these orders were cold as they had to wait on the correct food to be cooked). So we really didn't get to enjoy our food at the same time & at its best temperatures. The restaurant was not really busy and had been opened for about 2 1/2 hrs so no real reason for the errors except someone's lack of attention to detail. Not their best day.
Tags Buffet is known great home cooking. Tags is buffet only and serves country(southern) food throughout the week. A Cajun shrimp boil is served on weekend nights.

At Bonnie's almost everyone knows almost everyone. It has been a local favorite for years. Nothing fancy but good portions. Most of the time the breakfast is good but occasionally the gravy or the biscuit is barely warm, or the grits are extra lumpy. Dinner has always been pretty good.

We had a party of 8 walking through the door at lunchtime. We were served and ate just as quickly as any smaller party there. The whole catfish was excellent and the mayonnaise based coleslaw. They have Pepsi products and I was thrilled that they had the restaurant elusive diet Mountain Dew! The hush puppies are given to you to nibble on when you are seated as an appetizer - you'll fill up on these if you're not careful as they keep refilling the baskets. Good family style restaurant!

I've only been for breakfast but it was super. The pork chop breakfast is really really good and is well worth the trip to Rogersville. Other meals may be just as good I just can't speak to that. My wife had french toast that she said was great. We definitely recommend Fat Cat's.

Went to a very heavily advertised seafood buffet on a Saturday night. Remember this is in northern Alabama, not exactly the seafood capitol of the world. Was a rather mundane buffet, with the fried shrimp cooked so hard they were like rocks. Bay scallops were OK, but pretty small. Fish was not identified, but was not too bad. They offered crab legs, but I didn't try them. Buffet was seriously overpriced at $21.00.Worst part was the time it took to get served by the folks who did not opt for the buffet. Ordering off the menu took 75-90 minutes to get served. Absolutely ridiculous! They were apparently understaffed in the kitchen, although the dining room was full of guests. Numerous mistakes made by the wait staff in getting food to the right people, and by the kitchen in getting steaks cooked correctly. Overall not a real pleasant experience.I'm sorry that you had an unpleasant experience. Our Saturday Night Seafood Buffet is very popular in our area and I apologize if we were understaffed for the occation. This is uncommon, as we generally know to expect a large crowd on Friday (Prime Rib Buffet) and Saturday nights and plan accordingly.
