The Boathouse Restaurant is a casual restaurant that specializes in seafood and steaks, with amazing views of the inter-coastal waterways and spectacular sunsets. The deck is a more casual atmosphere with live music during the summer months, and great opt

Great food. I can vouch for the stuffed flounder. I’ve had stuffed flounder before but the crab stuffing was delicious, well seasoned and complemented the flounder, Busy place but for a Saturday night, on a holiday weekend, the wait was about 15 minutes. Service was prompt and our waitress Chrystal was attentive even though very busy, there’s live entertainment also.

Basically a shack squeezed in between a highway and a dock near a salt marsh. You eat on metal picnic tables. This is about as casual as a restaurant gets. We went twice and everything was excellent both times. The scallop special was outstanding on our first visit, as was the blackened swordfish special on our second visit. On our second visit we got a dozen crabs (for three people), which took a huge amount of work to eat (and lots of pounding with wooden mallets) but they were also very good. The corn on the cob was the best I've had in restaurant -- it's one dish that's almost always better at home, but Hooked Up's was great. Strong recommend.

Get the hangover (even if you don’t have one) - all was great - only thing tough is parking! Tough to beat on the shore or in a city.

I’ve been here twice so far. Both times were excellent especially this past time. Great potatoes and sausage. Service is great and very welcoming. Atmosphere is cozy and very ocean themed. This place will not disappoint for breakfast. I have not had lunch here yet but I plan to soon.

Stopped in for dinner on our way home from OCMD, tired and hungry. Classic Jersey diner atmosphere. Clean. Comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient. The menu is extensive. Our party of three sampled: grilled cheese, hot open faced roast beef, chicken parmesan, soups and salad. Everything was good. Portions were large. Prices were fair. We would return next time we're in the area.

This is one of those chain operations that just get it right. The gas is as reasonable as can be expected in this day and age. Most of the time the help is friendly and courteous. The store is fully stocked with just about anything you could need on the road and then some. Just a good operation in general. This on in Rio is easy in and out on a main street and there is plenty of parking if you are just picking something up.

This review reflects my meal. I was convinced to follow our restaurant week plan and try different places rather than return to the Italian establishment first visited. We ordered the rib and mushroom appetizers, both good but understandably smaller than standard. The salads were OK. My complaint is with the salmon. Their "4 Course Dinner" fell way short of the Italian participant's. My wife's steak was non-offensive and prepared as requested. My bacon encrusted salmon was about the size if an average man's thumb and lost in the scoop of mashed potatoes. I was told that portions were adjusted to ensure no impact on margins. We have participated in restaurant weeks in many other areas. Items that are determined to be unprofitable at lunch size should not be listed. We do not go to a restaurant week participant to see what our 6 and 8 year old grand kids get from the Costco demonstrators. The promo successfully got us in but earned my first bad review. Probably will avoid the 50 mile drive to try the others on the list.

We’ve been to Menz several times with family (not my choice!). I do not understand the fascination with this place. The food is overpriced and nothing special. The service was spotty at best-as if they did not have sufficient waitstaff. The portions are decent but for the price should be more. The decor is very eclectic...like someone took an antique store and blended it with your crazy uncle’s taxidermy collection (do you really want a deer or moose mounted on the wall, staring at you as you eat?). The gift/candy shop was nice-kids and adults will get a kick out of the “penny candy”. I get it that this establishment is a long time fixture in Cape May County (hence the multiple pictures of FDR). I guess everyone needs to go once for the experience. Do so, and then move on. And try not to be freaked out by the two-headed goat.

We loved this diner. The menu was varied and the food was good, and reasonably priced. We were here for breakfast. The diner was full of model planes and airplane paraphernalia - it was a fun experience just to sit and look around at all of the artifacts. It makes for a very warm ambiance and if I lived closer, I would probably become a regular customer!
