Called for a reservation and left a message as requested. They said they would call back, but never did. We called to confirm an hour before our reservation time. "Oh, we didn't check the messages". Said something about not knowing their password. They could accommodate us however. We were a family party of six celebrating a birthday. Arrived at 6:30 and were seated right away in the dining room that was full. Quick to take and deliver our drink orders, but then waitress never showed again for 30 minutes. When she finally came we gave orders for two appetizers which came about 15minutes apart. Still no one took our entree order until we finally asked the girl pouring water to have our waitress take our order. My husband ordered the pot roast. Twenty five minutes later the waitress returned to say they were out of pot roast. So he ordered the filet, which was ten dollars more. We had arrived at 6:30 and by 7:45 we still did not have our meal. We also even had to get up to ask for the bread. Finally the restaurant manager, who happened to be eating with friends at a table near us (rather than supervising the dining room operation), asked us if there was a problem . We told her our problem, she went to the kitchen and came back with the excuse that my husband's filet was holding things up because he had ordered it medium well. This was at 8:00 and still we did not receive our meals until 8:22. At the same time the table of six next to us who arrived 20 minutes after us was being served their dessert. The filet arrived, a very small end cut that had been sliced in half to make it look like it filled the plate, and it was badly over cooked. The other meals were served then in stages over a period that still took ten minutes. Those meals were of good quality. As we left the hostess asked how our meal had been and I told her we were not at all happy. The manager then approached me and asked me what the problem was. I told her we had to wait almost two hours for our meals. She asked me it she could do something for us and I asked what she would suggest. She said she could give us a $25 gift certificate which we may or may not use. It was a totally unsatisfactory evening.

The staff always pleasantly greets you upon entry and wishes you well on leaving. The food, especially the seafood, is always well prepared and the menu varies during the year. The sports bar is a bit more popular than the dining section. Food is always fresh with good portions. Steaks are well prepared but the burgers seem to be overly spiced.

Not fancy but it is a pub that serves sandwiches, wings, and great pizza. It is also a pool hall or one can play darts. There is a long bar or you can order and pay for food and they will bring it to your table. Happy hour $2 draft beers and specials each day. A good place for local guys to hang out.

We've stopped at the Hometown Cafe several times. Their hours accommodate breakfast and lunch until 2:00pm. Everything you see, pies, muffins, pastry, soups, and sandwiches are all made there. If you're looking for a good quick breakfast or lunch, this cafe is worth the stop. The prices are very reasonable.
See what the Colonel's cooking at your local KFC. Stop in today and enjoy our world famous chicken - it's Finger Lickin' Good!
I don't get it, how hard is it to give your dining room a good deep cleaning a couple times a year? This place looks (and smells) like it hasn't been cleaned with anything other than a musty smell mop once a week. Food is okay, but service (especially the drive thru) is incredibly slow. We've just stopped coming here because of the two.

We enjoyed a nice quiet dinner with friends at this cozy local favorite. My friend and I had the scallops with ginger special that was really fresh and delicious. Others reported their haddock to be very good too. For dessert we had fresh and yummy rhubarb pie, the guys had key lime pie. We will return!

Ate at this restaurant when it was under a previous name and management. Not pleased or impressed at all. My wife and I decided to try Emma's just recently and we're both totally happy with the service; and the food was terrific. Plan to visit again for dinner.

We took a bus tour to see the Fall leaves whilst staying in Boston. Part of our tour was to have been this delicious buffet lunch at Woodland Inn, The Grove - turkey, cranberry cider apple sauce, roast sweet potatoes and squash. What a disappointment. Dry turkey slices, no sauce, burned roast potatoes and a roast vegetable melange but no squash. The pudding was some synthetic tasting sweet concoction. If booking a tour make sure you ask where there will be lunch.

Sandwich Master Plus moved to a new location - 145 US Route 202.
This review is based on service only as I did not eat there during my visit earlier today. I visited Sandwich Master a couple of times a few years back when they were in a different location. The new location is on Sonja Drive in Rindge, next to Dunkin' Donuts, across route 202 from Walmart and Hannaford.I was running late when I stopped in for a quick sandwich. It was 1:45 pm, so it couldn't be crowded. Right? When I walked in, it was packed. I went to the counter and ordered a sandwich. The young lady politely informed me that it would take a half hour. Whaaaat? A half hour for a sandwich? I said, "No thank you," and left. As I turned around, I realized that only one table (party of three) had food. All the other people were sitting there staring at the counter waiting for their order to be ready.I want around the corner to Pizza Haven, ordered a sandwich, ate it, then drove past Sandwich Master at 2:10 pm. I just don't understand how they can stay in business if it takes that long to make a sandwich. The food must still be good if they are able to keep all those people sitting there waiting in the middle of the afternoon.I might return in the future, but only if I can block out an hour to allow for the wait.

Original 1947 Silk City Diner serving home cooked meals and breakfast all day. We have seasonal outdoor seating and are located near Mt Monadnock, Cathedral of The Pines, Mt Watatic and Franklin Pierce University Rindge NH
What a jewel in the Monadnock region, save your appetite when your visiting the area, from breakfast, lunch or dinner the menu has alot to offer for that growling stomac, i found great servings with a fair price, the staff is busy but very friendly and quick with the food, plenty of parking front and back, handicapped friendly, the outdoor patio in season is a great place to relax and have your meal with a pleasant setting, for a mom and pop style restaurant this is a jewel worth traveling too!
