This is a very old fashioned looking diner, on the corner. From what we were told it has diff name now and the new owners took over that day in early june. They were young and ambitious. Husband was cook and wife waiting tables, cashing peeps out, etc. The entire staff friendly and efficient. It has a long counter and also some tables on side. Good size portions, only open for breakfast/lunch. Has some old time equipment in there, gives u a feeling of going back in time. Neat throwback. U don't get a ticket but go up to register and pay bill. A bit pricey for what u got tho. Have to pay extra if want hash browns and were not homemade. Everything else delcious

Our menu is filled with classic American dishes like steak, salmon, burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as other traditional favorites like slow-roasted prime rib and our famous chicken tenders, all at a great value.
Nothing exceptional. Basic bar food like salads, sandwiches and burgers. Quality is good but nothing great and service is good but again, nothing I would remember. They were out of a few beers which was unfortunate but other than that, it's an ok stop from the expressway but I wouldn't go out of your way to go.

Breakfast
We arrived at IHop at approximately 7:30pm on Sunday on the way home from a Thanksgiving trip. Several of the employees were focused on putting up Christmas decorations and didn't seem overly thrilled to seat us. We didn't wait long, but definitely felt a sense that we were interrupting their fun. Our food was also very slow getting to our table. I ordered the Chicken Florentine Crepes, a dish I have enjoyed dozens of times before, so I'm very aware how it should be prepared (which matches the photo in their menu). The waitress came out and the hollandaise sauce was dabbed on as a garnish, but there wasn't nearly enough to treat as an actual sauce. I sent her back to the kitchen to bring more out, as the dish wouldn't taste right without it. After waiting so long for our meals, it was disappointing to have to wait even longer for the sauce that was supposed to come with mine. The food was good as always. One other note: If I had used the bathroom before we ordered, we would not have dined here. The waste bins in the stalls were absolutely filthy. It so little care is taken with bins that are easily wiped off, I worry about the condition of the kitchen. Management needs to take notice!

Weâve been to the Red Lobster chain in many places but this one in Richmond is by far the best weâve visited. I had the Fish and Chips - Atlantic Cod in batter with chips and coleslaw. It would have been even better with proper home cut Chips and Mushy Peas but thatâs the âBrit coming out in meâ. The family had various shrimp dishes which were all excellent; but I wouldnât have swapped my battered cod for anything.Service was very friendly and attentive: wonderful visit.Hi, Geoff. Thank you for sharing your feedback and giving the Richmond Red Lobster restaurant 4 stars! Your comments have been shared with our management team and we look forward to giving you a 5 star experience next time!

Traveling thru the area and decided to stop for lunch since itâs always a safe bet - well not this time! Service was slow, we were packed in to the center of the room like sardines when there was plenty of other tables open and my husband had a hair in his food. Biscuits looked liked some slapped batter on a sheet and moved on - no shape to them and they couldnât be cut open without falling apart. Food was mediocre at best.

This is a typical mid western diner, and has actually quite a nice menu given itâs genre. There is a lot to choose from. However, it has a problem of doubling all numbers⦠If you ask for two eggs, you get four. If you asked for a pancake, you get to. While this is cute, and curious, and some may appreciate the huge portions, others probably end up eating too much.

My husband and I arrived around 4:30 p.m. so we ordered from the early bird part of the menu, which was several choices under $10.00. He had the single pork chop that came with it's own special sauce that my husband liked and two sides. He ordered the fries and corn. I had the 6 oz. sirloin steak with a baked potato and mushrooms. Everything tasted great. They also brought us 4 rolls with cinnamon butter. Before dinner we each ordered a beer and we snacked on peanuts. Our total cost was $27.27 before tip. Our server was Amber and she did a great job. The manager, Mary, came around to our table to make sure that everything was alright. We were very impressed with her and had a nice conversation.

We met up with family that we had not seen in a long time. The friendly staff and customer service was exceptional. I had the brunswick stew with jalapeno cornbread and a brisket salad that was delicious. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and loved it. Others in our group had macaroni and cheese for the small tyke, chicken salad and casa dias. Everyone enjoyed their food. The atmosphere and decor was very nice.

This is the poster child of a restaurant that's on Kitchen Nightmares or Restaurant Impossible. The restaurant is in desperate need of updating and the dust was visible all around. Everything seemed dated and the food was subpar. However the restaurant staff had the attitude that this was a fine dining establishment which it is far from and they seem to be in denial. The crowd tends to be on the older side and probably remembering the days when this was a decent restaurant. However this is one that now feels stuck in the past and unwilling to change or update. Even the plate felt old and outdated.

There are lots of sandwich choices here, many are named after their local aficionados. They come with very modest choice of one side. I prefer to order a small salad a la carte and take the baked beans. Cole slaw is very creamy, not my personal preference. Reasonable beverage choices. Little Shebas is very popular with locals.
