Friends had given us a generous gift card to here so we decided to invite them along to enjoy both the food and conversation! We are never disappointed by both the friendly efficient service and the reliable food! We all chose some type of seafood and each raved about their dish. I had the seafood fra diabolo ($21.95) and will enjoy it for dinner tonight as the portions are quite generous! The creme brûlée with grand mariner was a hit with all of us.This is a very popular restaurant so do make reservations and plan on bringing home a doggie bag! Highly recommend!

Known literally around the world for warm and welcoming hospitality, Jackâs Oyster House has been continuously operated by the Rosenstein family since 1913 and is now under the direction of grandson Brad. Along with French Certified Master Chef Luc Pasqui
We stopped in for a mid-afternoon cocktail and something to eat. While the restraint was still empty, the bar attendant was very accommodating. The bar itself is small but comfortable and we were able to stay at the bar to eat. Be warned, not a cheap endeavor.

Having read the many outstanding reviews we were expecting an over the top dining experience. The food was good but certainly not over the top. My wife had the beet salad which she enjoyed however it didnât live up to its price tag and included only one small cut up beet and a tablespoon of hummus. Her swordfish was well cooked however the sauce was very sparingly applied and the included vegetables were lack luster and tasteless. My fried calamari appetizer was delicious as generous. The evening steak was a rib eye. Mine was cooked as requested and I would rank it as middle of the road. We shared the ricotta donut holes which were great. The ambiance was a bit tired and somewhat grim. Service was friendly and efficient.

C. H. Evans Brewing Company at the Albany Pump Station, Albanyâs premier location for food and hand crafted beer. With up to 10 in-house brews to choose from, The Pump Station is sure to have something for every beer lover.
Nice atmosphere. Relaxed brewpub feel. Waitress and other staff are great. Beers we tried were okay, nothing stood out, but all were drinkable some better than others. Do a flight, pick ones to your taste. The food was good, had large portions. We would return.

Background: I was with a large group (7) of colleagues in town for a conference. Originally had made reservations, but ended up showing up about an hour early, but was seated quickly with no problems. Atmosphere: A casual, bar atmosphere. The restaurant is filled with antiqued, long picnic benches and tables that can accommodate about 8 or so people. Music was playing both in the main dining room/bar area and in the back kitchen- where you wait for your free pizza. Service: Was a bit slow, but it seemed there was only a few servers on the floor and it was pretty full when we arrived. Our waiter was friendly and patient as we asked a bunch of questions (What's on the pickle plate? Is it pickles?) and requests- (in stead of chips, can I have fries?). Food came out slowly, but pizza was there to fill in the gaps. At least apps came out fairly quickly.Food: A unique mix of modern and classic dishes. Lots of twists! Like the pickle plate had lots of pickled items (cauliflower, fiddle-head ferns, garlic, but no traditional pickles). Many of us ordered the pulled pork, which did NOT disappoint. Friend had the burger said it was good and other friend who had the curry chicken sandwich was happy too. Would I go back? IT is definitely a place to grab a casual meal with friends or colleagues after work. It had a fun atmosphere and solid food. I would come back if I was in the area again!

A farm-to table Bistro serving global comfort food at 300 Delaware Ave in the city of Albany, NY. Offering farm raised meats, sustainable seafood, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
Weâve had consistent great food & service at NWBB the few times that weâve dined there. Last week was our 1st time dining on their outside patio, which provided a quieter option on a busy Friday night. Their nightly special homemade pasta with salmon was delicious, as was their consistent bacon wrapped, Gouda stuffed meatloaf. Their speciality cocktail New Fashioned was very tasty. Glad we thought about trying here again while in Albany.

My wife and I enjoyed our recent dining experience at 677 Prime. We arrived early and decided to sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail before dinner. Our server was personable and friendly and attentive to out needs. Our martinis were perfectly prepared and our NY strip steaks were delicious and cooked medium and medium rare as we requested. We shared a salad and a loaded baked potato but we were too full to consider dessert. Although the prices were on the high side, we will definitely return to 677 Prime whenever we are in the Albany area. Thank you for the review, we're so happy you appreciate the quality and experience!

A wonderful find, once we found it, tucked away in a rather quiet corner of a busy city. This 1800's building that once housed a public school and then a doctor's office boasts a nice garden patio, small bar area as you walk in, and cozy dining area that seats maybe 20 people. The service was very friendly, quick, and efficient. The prices were very reasonable. The menu held something for everyone. Great choices. The burger was the best ever. Cooked perfectly! The homemade salsa was awesome as well. Wished we lived closer so we could return to this great place more often!

Great Italian restaurant in Albany. We went here with a party of 7 for Easter dinner. The food was absolutely excellent and the service was amazing. Every one of us enjoyed their meals. Our waitress, Shani, could not have been friendlier or more efficient. She is by far the best server we have had in a long time anywhere. I was also here a couple of months ago with some other couples. We had great food and service then too. I will be back!
