We had been there before with our son and 2 grand kids I thought it OK for a weekend afternoon. My wife and I returned for a week day lunch and I found the "old time" servers most accommodating. The portions were huge; enough leftovers for supper.

We experienced terrible service and inconsistent food quality this evening. It took 10 mins to get recognized. Anytime our server came to our table of 6, the drinks and food were handed out from where she was standing by asking who got what. A soup was missed, food was served as it was made, not by course. They wouldnât make a smaller salad out of a dinner salad, so two of ask to split one. It was delivered as one salad without a second bowl for us to even split it. I ordered the fried oysters, named on their menu as a signature dish. The oysters were small and way over cooked. The broccoli was over cooked and mushy. To top it all, they included the gratuity in the bill. Others had okay meals, but we were all disappointed with the service. Thanks for the feedback. It's greatly appreciated. We apologize if our service did not meet your expectation. Our kitchen is well versed at firing courses correctly which leaves us a bit confused. Currently at this time we do not serve a small handmade organic spinach salad and presented a side plate for your table. We would have gladly presented a bowl had we known this was your preference. This season Fresh Oysters have been running smaller in size to due warmer waters so we in turn present a larger portion to accomadate this seasonal challenge. For parties of six or more we reserve the option to add gratuity which is a common practice... However missing the mark on your experience would and should not warrant this courtesy if we did not deliver an exemplary experience.If at all possible please share your thoughts onsite so we make immediate corrective action. We have been serving York's Finest Seafood since 1947 and take great pride in being "One of the BEST"Please do not hesitate to call us at 717-755-7300 to discuss in detail.We will try to do better. Finally stopped in and was very happy. Had the tomato soup and Cobb salad. Would recommend staff was very friendly. Do have outdoor seating also.

Service could have been much better and the room was very noisy so it was very difficult to talk. I was not thrilled with choices on the menu. There twice for lunch and once for dinner. These visits were made when restaurant was new so sometime I might try it again

I have been going here since it opened in the early 80's. I enjoy the selections they have to offer. But the store is a little outdated and needs to be changed. The food is great and the fries are delicious. You can never go wrong eating here.

Last summer we asked Roma's if they would be willing to make pizza for our summer camp every Friday! They agreed and even gave us a discount because we are a non-profit organization! They worked well with our schedule and always had the pizzas hot and ready to be picked up! The staff has been beyond friendly and cooperative and we are grateful for their service. Our hope is to utilize their restaurant again this summer and for many more to come! I highly recommend this restaurant !

I only ranked this 4 star cause its not my personal preference to a restaurant. Food is great and served hot but it reminds you of diner restaurants. The establishment is comfy and staff is friendly.

My daughter and I were greeted promptly upon arrival. We ordered breaded cauliflower. We asked for marinara and the appetizer was almost finished until we got the marinara. We both order a chicken cheesesteak with tomatoes and both came out as regular beef cheesesteaks with no tomatoes. Not a stellar experience considering they were not very busy. May or may not stop back.

Bucolic and beautiful setting with idyllic views for a special night out. Delicious and fresh fare -- I had the crabmeat brick over pizza, which was an ambitious portion for one. Wonderful fusion of flavor -- with a minor tip to the chef to crisp up the crust a little, but I may be bias for the NY/NJ style. Amazing lavender infused martini done just right. Excellent and attentive service!

We try to stop here at least once a year, usually in the fall. It is across town for us so once a year is practical for us. Just ate here for a Saturday evening dinner, and the Saloon delivered once again. The staff is always pleasant and on top of things, and the meals will fill you up. My ribeye was spot on and my wifeâs steak salad looked great (she said it was too). Our waiter also pointed us to a great local stout beer which paired great with our food. Keep up the great work!
