Don't let the façade or furniture fool you, this is great food for a great price. Their chicken is the best around and hamburgers, and their pies are fantastically priced and delicious. As an added bonus, the owner might just place his electric piano for you while you are eating!

Red Wheel Restaurant Provides Mexican Food, Rental Space, and a Bar to the Rantoul, IL Area.
We were looking for a non-fast food option for supper on our trip. Billboards along the interstate alerted us to this place. True, the facility is dated and sort of dingy. The wait staff was pleasant and helpful. My husband had the all you can eat walleye special and I ordered the shrimp special. Orders were received quickly. Just average food. Tasted good and was filling, but nothing really special about it. I would probably stop here again if we were in the area.

Under new management. Owner was there. Menu has similar food choices but breakfast is ala carte. Eggs and toast the add meat oh and anything you add to your omlette is extra. Like hash browns, come on. Inside looks and smells the same. Saturday morning place was packed all booths were full...we sat at the counter. Some of the servers were the same. The 5 guys (RUS) trying to cook was 3 too many. One guy had some skill. Ever the owner shook his head watching the antics. RUS is from "Princess Bride", don't loose you humor.
