At the suggestion of several friends, we decided to go to Outback for a change of pace while out shopping this weekend. Well...I won't be taking dining suggestions from those friends again any time soon! First, the restaurant was very cold, like an icebox. I like the cold, but shivering while you are in a restaurant is a little excessive. Second, the service was extremely slow. It took 10 minutes just to get iced tea and the service went downhill from there. Third...we ordered our food to come out at the same time as our appetizer...which did not happen. We ordered after being seated for 18 minutes and our appetizer took another 20 minutes, then our salads another 10 minutes after that! The appetizer was very greasy and disgusting as it was not cooked properly... and the salad had way too much dressing. We literally could have added 2 more portions of lettuce. We won't be returning any time soon.

Locally owned and operated by people who are passionate about food. We serve different lunch specials every day and have great burgers, sandwiches and salads as well. We make just about every thing in house including our French fries. We also have a full
I had a conference nearby and decided to try this place with my colleagues. It is small and packed but now I know why. The food is delicious!! The special duck confit nachos are delish!!! It is quite expensive, but it is excellent. Huge choice of delicious martini's (almond joy was great!). For starters we had a cup of gumbo each which was delicious, and shared a portion of oysters which were lovely. For main course, my husband had the blackened red fish which he loved, and I had the stuffed flounder which was fantastic. I had wondered whether to order a side of brocolli with it, but didn't, and found it came with mixed veg so was glad I hadn't. The wine we asked for wasn't available, but the waiter suggested an alternative, and brought some out for us to taste. It was very nice, so we were happy to have that instead. Lovely atmosphere of a proper restaurant where you could enjoy a whole evening.

Stopped in early Friday (5 pm). No problem parking tho place fills up fast. When we left, standing room waiting to be seated. Had a soft shell crab poboy ($17.00)Iâd been wanting and husband had a fried shrimp poboy ($10.00)We split fries($2.00) which worked out great. The Abita Purple Haze beer ($3.50)was good and cold. Both poboys were good but we agreed the bread was not as desirable as a crunchy Leidenheimerâs would have been. Other folks said boiled crawfish were good, running at $7.50 a pound and regular boiled shrimp were $15.00 a pound. The fries we were very thin and had an almost sweet potato fry taste that I wasnât crazy about. Service was good. Iâd go back and try something boiled, but really wanted that soft shell crab poboy!

So you're in bayou country, and go to a local seafood restaurant. We can write the script now, can't we?Not for vegans, but if you like Louisiana seafood, cooked Louisiana style, Big Al does not disappoint......crabs, shrimp, crayfish, oyster - what'll ya have? All good, large portions, friendly service and a couple of cold ones....heaven in Houma.

I had lunch at the Shack after a fellow colleague recommended this place. The food was great, the service the same. I had the oysters and the crawfish and it was all delicious.

as we were doing many earns and ended up near boudreau & thibodeau's we stopped for our evening meal for the day of running around the area ... the parking was easy before the evening rush being it was right before 4pm ... entering we were seated and we chose a booth ... our server Kami M took our drink orders and we asked for a hush puppies appetizer but she told us that they were out of them ... wow how can a kitchen that has one of the best hush puppies so early in the day and when the afternoon rush starts ... we have friends that drive from metairie just for the for the hush puppies with butter ... i had the Etouffee and each spoonful had at least 2 or more crawfish in every spoonful till the last spoon had only 2 ... and that is just why we come here often because the food is good and plentiful and taste like from home

After taking our daughter and 5 y/o great grandson for a short road trip, we decided he needed a lunch break. Despite being overly crowded for lunch, we were quickly seated and attended to. The lunch menu had many choices from which to choose. We ended up ordering a cup of seafood gumbo (very good), a half shrimp po-boy sandwich, seafood salad (huge), crab cake on a bun with sweet potato fries (lots of crab meat), and chicken nuggets (guess who had this one). The kitchen was very efficient in keeping meals coming quickly to accommodate the never ending crowd. Service was great and tables were bussed immediately as patrons left in order to seat the waiting customers. Have eaten here a few times but never when it was this busy. Very pleased with how the waitstaff handled the crowd. Highly recommend for a terrific meal.Thank you for your review and recommendations. We appreciate the praise and feedback along with the continued support.
This location is a good choice if you are in the mood for a smoothie. The staff is friendly, restaurant is clean and they accommodate my sons peanut allergy but making his smoothie in an allergy friendly blender. Highly recommend
Beck's is the place to eat in Raceland on Monday nights. The steak is pretty good and it covers the entire plate. The atmosphere is that of a roadside cafe but that adds to the experience. Louise our server was fantastic! Great place I highly recommend.
