Whether you are a resident of Pulaski or just passing through town via I-81, The Timbers is the best place in town for breakfast. You'll find the usual assortment of breakfast items, but we like the Fretta options best - potatoes, eggs, veggies, and breakfast meats all fixed together in any combination you like. If you are not really, really hungry, order the half portion though; it's plenty. We are Pulaski residents for only half of the year, but the friendly waitress remembers us and what we like to eat and drink and greets us warmly, fills us in on the village news, and generally makes us feel at home whenever we stop by.
Uhhhh... epitamy of "dive bar". Just for fun set your glass on the bar and watch it slide to the other endby itself.

Ponderosa like many chains is largely predictable, and this one in Pulaski is typical of others. Food is copious and everything tasty. Cost is low to midrange. Much is self-serve, so service issues are minimal. You get what you pay for, and that's a negative. Fare is American, and desserts the same. Nothing exotic here, and nothing to dislike.

Our first time today. We both enjoyed our meal. A very nice selection of fruits, desserts, salads, breads, etc. We both ordered the steak, but honestly I would be happy with just the salad bar. My husband said his steak was very good, which is a big complement from him. My steak was a little under done for my liking but it was ok. The staff was friendly. The price was exceptable for all that food. We will go back next time we drive through the area. Go hungry. Everything we tried we liked.

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't full blown salmon season yet so reasonably quiet and I was able to get a table on the terrasse with a view of the river. Decided to try the cowboy burger with a Bear Naked Ale(amber) and both were delicious! They also have a large selection of local craft brews and sports playing in the bar on several TV's. Nice place to stop for a quick bite or hang out with some buddies after a big day of fishing!
During an overnight trip along the east side of Lake Ontario my wife and I happened to stop in The Lakeside restaurant for lunch and delightfully surprised. The food was freshly prepared and tasty. The portions were so generous we would have been satisfied with sharing their half-pound burger and a bun toasted just right (probably brioche). The service was very pleasant, informative and attentive. A fun extra is the rustic interior with a fishing theme and displaying a selection of reels from early 1900s, models of fish presumably still captures nearby as well as other local elements - all understated. In fact, we liked it so much we returned the next day on the way back, ate there again and took home some of their amazing desserts!

SHOCKINGLY surprising. I was searching for BBQ on our way back home from Watertown NY. They smoke their bacon! They had me at BACON, even though they didn't have the brisket I was craving. So we ordered the BACON martini... MMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY MMMMMMMMMM!!!!! Portions are well distributed and those smoked lamb gyros are packed with DELICIOUS! Onion rings are battered right, not greasy! Burgers, plump and juicy. Carrot cake - decadent. A really nice surprise on the road. True, the 80's called and want their decor back. But Miss K at the bar's got the goods, and the food is really good! Take a road break and get some bacon will ya?!

Beautiful view and excellent food! Especially the All You Can Eat Crab Legs. One note to mention, the restaurant doesn't have air conditioning, so don't make the mistake of going on a hot humid night.

Definitely disappointed in our meal this evening, especially after reading the good reviews. Service was adequate but very slow. Took 45 minutes to receive our pulled pork, beans, coleslaw and hush puppies. The beans were cold as was my serving of pork. My husband's was hot, however and he enjoyed the coleslaw. The pork was bland; we had ordered the Memphis style since they were out of the other two offerings. The waitress apologized for both the delay and the fact that the hush puppies were actually fried cornbread as the batter had not had time to "set" she said. We were not charged for the hush puppies. Ironically, they were the best tasting of our meal. The waitress said the delay was because they were slammed in the kitchen. I find that hard to believe as we were initially one of three tables waiting to order (two couples and a group of three). Perhaps you might have a better experience than us; probably the worst dining experience we have ever had.

Stopped for lunch...so many specials it was a difficult choice. Not only breakfast choices and lunch choices but HOMEMADE dessert choices. My choice was soup of the day (green pea) and a jalapeno cheese bacon bbq hamburger (yummy) Service with Kathy and Sherri were wonderful with their attitude and with knowledge
