A clean, rustic, western restaurant with friendly service. However, my wife's eggs were undercooked and her potatoes were cold. My omelet was very good but my potatoes were barely warm. Had to ask the waitress for seconds on coffee. Prices were reasonable. I gujess we just expected more based on TripAdvisor rating.

We had lunch at the Gurley St. Grill in Prescott, AZ on a Monday in July 2019 at about noon. The restaurant wasn't very crowded when we arrived. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess who escorted to a window booth on the south side of the restaurant, facing Gurley Street. The waitress was efficient and pleasant. Both of our lunch entrees were served within about a 12 minute wait. The food was hot, delicious and plentiful. My wife had the Grilled cheese with bacon. She said it was hot and delicious. I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich, but without the bun. It arrived as ordered and was both hot and delicious. My onion rings on the side were also appropriately hot, but just a little under-cooked. The birthday girl (my wife) got a complimentary slice of carrot cake...a very nice gesture.Overall: This was our second visit to the Gurley St. Grill. The first visit was about three years ago. Again, service, quality and quantity of food was consistently good. Will we be back? Absolutely.Wow - thank you so much for the detailed and kind review! We truly appreciate you taking time to post it. Thank you again for coming in and please don't wait another three years!

We use locally-sourced ingredients to offer a modern take on American cuisine and Farm-to-Fork Suppers.
Weâve only been twice but had a very good experience both times. This visit my wife had the Broccolini Chicken Soup (the reason we returned was because she really liked that soup on our first visit ). On my first trip I had the Risotto with shrimp (large shrimp on the top of the risotto), large, delicious and served piping hot. This visit I had the Pastrami Reuben on rye. Again large and delicious. I believe the reason theyâre doing well in the kitchen is because theyâve found the âbalanceâ needed in making a dish worthy of âhigh marks.â The Reuben is an example, it had sufficient meat to make it a good sandwich, it had sufficient kraut to make it a Reuben, it had sufficient dressing to make it moist without being sloppy.....âsufficientâ in each individually but when combined, the balance made a sandwich which was âgreater than the sum of its parts.â Add to that, the homemade rye bread and you have a really worthy presentation. The first time I finished with the Lemon curd Tart (excellent), I really left the restaurant uncomfortably full. I didnât make the same mistake by ordering dessert....we agreed weâre going to return on a âdessert onlyâ visit soon. The service both times was good, Gibson on the first visit, Adam on the second. Attentive without being intrusive.

This place offers a variety of salads, sandwiches and entrees in a very low-key environment (porch sitting under gently rotating fans) or "dining room" (shorts are more than adequate attire), but it's the "adult milkshakes" that make this place outstanding. We tried both the Baileys Irish Cream with Oreo cookies milkshake and the Kahlua with Ghirardelli Chocolate Liquer milkshake. Both come in the usual LARGE metal milkshake containers, which more than fill a 16 oz glass. Excellent!! Yummy!! To die for!! But OH SO FILLING. We should have split one (or the other) and come back another night to try one of the other flavors.Friendly and helpful staff. "Backporch" ambiance. An easy place to find something for everyone.

Our first night in Prescott. We just walked in and they seated us. We had the calamari to start. Excellent. I had shrimp tacos and my husband had the smoked ribs. Absolutely delicious. We split a house made cream brûlée. Wow!! Not only was it amazing, but it was a big portion.

We were not able to get a table at our first choice for dinner, so I suggested to our group (two couples) that we walk 1.5 blocks up to the Peacock Room and give it a try. Our dinner there was Better than we expected. The room has a high ceiling and looks very nice with cloth-covered tables & cloth napkins, delightful menu choices, & nice House wines by the glass for $4 (Happy Hour; 4-6 pm). I started with and enjoyed the House Salad (a Wedge, with an interesting & tasty Blue Cheese Vinaigrette) and then ordered the Beef Tips (12 oz.) with Asian Black-Pepper sauce. It came with thin sliced steamed veggies, a baked potato, and the steak tips were cooked as requested (medium). They were juicy and very tender and flavorful. I liked the Asian Pepper sauce flavor for dipping the tips, too. My wife said her Double Barrel Pork Chop (so Thick it had Two ribs) was very delicious also. Our dinner companions had the Atlantic Salmon and the Beef Tips (8 oz.) with grilled mushrooms and said their dinners were very good as well. Our planned dinner out, that had looked like it could have been a sad night, turned into a real restaurant Find in downtown Prescott. We will Be Back!Hello Casey, Thank you for taking the time to review the Peacock Dining Room. We appreciate that you shared your experience with others and are very happy that you enjoyed your time with us. We look forward to seeing you again. Take care

My uncle, during his retirement years, used to live in Prescott and we came here often and always enjoyed the lunches. Flash forward to today and our first dinner here as knowledgable past lunch customers. Restaurant is clean and tidy as I've always expected. No host or hostess at the entrance... we waited a few minutes until we had to go looking for someone to seat us. Our booth was clean and ready to go. Service was just fine. Their bread with the meal was excellent as it's always been. My steak (and I'm reviewing it based upon the price paid factor) was OK. Plenty warm enough and cooked to order, but without additional seasoning that I added (just salt & pepper), it was bland tasting and though not tough, it was not tender enough to earn their mid-$40s price. Baked Potato was excellent with butter/salt/pepper and the veggies were just right. I wasn't offered steak sauce, or additional toppings for the potato. Overall a pretty good meal marred by over-pricing of what you get. If this had been a more fine-dining experience, we would have valued the meal more highly, but the existing ambiance does not suit fine-dining.

We serve tasty food with a twist. Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan options available.
What a gem! Fun and inviting, this is The Breakfast Club of Arizona! Food was fantastic, locally sourced, organic, and minimally processed. There was also a lot of it! Gluten free options abound as most things on the menu can be altered and are prepared separately if you let them know you've got celiac. Baked goods that literally make your mouth water and a friendly staff round out a really nice morning! All they're missing is a secret speakeasy in the basement, a loony password, and an old refrigerator entrance!Hi Brittany, thank you for your feedback and so pleased to hear you enjoyed your meal on your recent visit. Since you did such an amazing job describing our restaurant, I would like to add that We have an eclectic menu and serve non GMO foods and 50% + is organic. Everything is made from scratch, including our English Muffins and biscuits, etc., using the finest ingredients. We do not use fryers, microwaves; everything is made fresh to order. As much as we can, we will source local suppliers supporting our local businesses and agriculture. Next time you come in, remind me to give you our secret password!!
