Having recently relocated from Florida we have stretched our wings from yonder and fell upon this establishment. So so glad we did! The country/rustic vibe with the city feel is aces! If you canât find something to eat here, youâre simply not hungryWe opted to sit at the upstairs bar and were very pleased with the customer service provided by the little blonde bartender with glasses...She didnât give her nameââï¸Thank you for an awesome Reuben, bomb burger, and brews! An amazing end to our visit with my cousin was a dinner at Jacmel Inn. From the moment you walk in you feel comfortable. It is well appointed and super clean. This is a great place to unwind after a busy day or week. I started with a well made Sazerac. We were at Jacmel Inn on a Tuesday night so it was quiet. The service was very good along with our delicious meals. I had the veal Parm. It was one of a prefixed meal of the night along with a glass of wine for a really fair price. Our whole group was pleased with their choices.

Restaurant Impossible (Robert Irvine) would love to redo this place. The tables are wood and every one of them were scratched and peeling. The menu was covered in plastic and gave off a musty odor; you didn't know if it was a seafood or Italian restaurant and most of the staff looked like they just crawled out of bed. The food was fair. We are real foodies and pride ourselves on knowing what is good and what isn't. Sorry for the review just don't want someone else to be blindsided.

Stopped in Hammond for the night while heading home from New Orleans. We'd asked a couple of people in Hammond for recommendations for seafood. One of them was Don's. It was convenient to our motel, so after reading reviews (4 stars) we tried it. We were seated near the bar, where it was very loud - we should have asked for a window seat. We had a very good server. She checked on us frequently and brought additional condiments as requested. The food was fairly good - just wasn't 'great' I had the fried catfish/shrimp. The shrimp were fried well and once I added some seafood seasoning (on the table) it was pretty good. I didn't eat the catfish after a couple of bites - it tasted 'fishy' - not that clean taste typical of 'farm raised' catfish. Even though we weren't going home until the next afternoon, I got a to go box and brought the catfish and fries home - my dogs loved it! If you go to Don's with someone and you want conversation, ask for a table away from the bar area.

We are locally owned and operated cafe and enjoy catering to each customer's individual taste. We also offer gourmet coffees and coffee cocktails.
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch with my sister at this lovely, quaint corner café. Both of us enjoyed sandwiches (turkey panini and chicken salad), which were very good. The restaurant has the atmosphere of an old-time diner, although I don't believe the large counter serves malts or shakes. There is a very good selection of sandwiches, raps and paninis, as well as different desserts and beverages.Thank you ! hope you visit again soon

First itâs very drafty. I wanted to leave but my husband said letâs give it a try. Well I ordered a coke husband water. Waitress brought my husbands water no coke for me. Finally my husband asked could she please have her coke. Waitress said O I forgot. Husband ordered a seafood platter I ordered a bowl of shrimp and corn Bisque and a shrimp PoBoy food was all cold or room temperature. I had to send bisque to be heated up. I also asked for Just mayo on my PoBoy it came dressed. I sent it back but I still could taste the lettuce. I didnât think prices were good for the food. Mostly because it all tasted like frozen seafood not fresh at all. Also we saw the waitress and cashier Handle the food and clean stuff wipe stuff never washing their hands between going from one thing to the next. Money is the dirtiest thing and then she turns and starts cutting lemons. Not at all following health safety. We could smell the oil. I know a lot of people gave this place good reviews thatâs why I wanted to try it. Also the shrimp and corn bisque was very good. Remember this is my review.

The Charcuterie boards are creative and delicious but my favorite dish was the Shrimp artichoke salad with fried green tomatoes croutons! I could eat this salad everyday! The staff is friendly and the kitchen makes quality dishes. Our whole family (party of 7) left happy. It was truly an enjoyable meal and dining experience.
