Breakfast served all day!! Daily specials!!
We were traveling with friends this week and needed to find a lunch spot. My wife used our GPS, searching for a non-chain restaurant. She randomly chose "The Lake Alfred Diner", and it was a wonderful find! They were very busy with the Saturday lunch crowd, but fit us in and served us in style!

Here in Auburndale for the City Con. When I come to Auburndale love to visit here. Had the roasted cauliflower soup and harvest quiche and pumpkin scones. All tasty. My friend got the Cobb salad..which he enjoyed.Nice relaxed casual atmosphere..with a touch of elegance. Service is friendly and efficient.

Enjoyed dinner on a Saturday evening with a group of 8 friends. Nice atmosphere; quiet enough to enjoy conversation. The food was divine. Dreams of crab cakes! Watermelon cocktail was delicious. I do wish they were open until maybe 9pm.Please go experience this gem of a restaurant. I hope to return soon!

Went there for take out because I loved the rack of ribs I ate in that place three years ago. I was expecting the same experience today, 01/31/2019 shortly after 5:00 pm. When I got home, ten minutes away, I found that the ribs were undercooked, raw inside (not "rare") and their edges were even seeping blood. The fries looked and tasted as if they had been leftovers, hard and with a deep-orange color, as if they had been refried. The corn bread, the cole slaw and the sauce were okay, I suggest that, if you go there, don't get the take out and immediately leave. When you get the order open the black container to check if the ribs and the fries were cooked right. Better yet, eat in and complain to the server if the food was not properly cooked. Our sincere apologies and thank you for the honest feedback. That is not how I like to send my food out at all. We would like you to give us another chance. When you come back, please ask for Jim or Dottie, and we will make it right for you.

It was our first time eating there. Our friends had been there about 10 years ago. The food was good and the service was very quick. Nothing fancy but good food. The coleslaw was outstanding.

Meeting a friend for lunch and wanted something different. At Lake Alfred there is not much but this cute little barn restaurant with attached Antique stores! So kind and nice from minute walked in door. For $8 it was Italian wedding soup, chicken salad sandwich, fresh fruit and really good potato salad! The best was the white pomegranate spiced ice tea! Worth the 70 mile drive from Clearwater or 50 miles from Orlando.

Unforgettable place in its friendly atmosphere, Victorian style decor, their blends of tea, the fresh and colorful salads, and masterpieces of must try desserts. The gift shop has a nice selection of pretty things and the exterior has some unique garden decorations you can purchase as souvenirs to remember your experience there but surely, this place youâll remember all on its own.
First time in years I've eaten at a Subway. I walked in here today and was warmly greeted by very pretty Wendy who prepared my sandwich. She could not have been nicer or quicker. She made mine and my very picky wife's sub precisely how we asked. The bread and ingredients were very tasty and fresh. I was impressed. I will be a regular at Subway stores from now on!

Stopped with a large group on our way to the coast for a quick bite to eat. Service was very quick, and staff were very efficient. Food was fresh and very tasty - especially the French dip which was awesome! If you stop at Loves garage make sure you pop in!

A friend and I rode our motorcycles from The Villages to Polk City just to have lunch at Country Angels. It turned out to be a great little hole in the wall kind of place you might easily pass by. Our server, Tasha, was real efficient and had a lovely smile, which never hurts. I had the liver and onions with mashed potatoes and green beans with plenty of gravy on the taters and liver. My buddy had the chicken fried chicken with slaw and fries. Portions generous, service polite and prompt. I'll be back sooner than later!Ron
