Return visit dining in the great room upstairs while winds from Dorian were ripping around. Great setting and perhaps the best wine and beer selection on the shore. Service remains high caliber and menu selection is decent but not truly adventurous. Started with salads that were ok. Wife had the halibut special which was extraordinary. Mom and I each had the flounder francaise which is also wonderful. Come here for a consistently rewarding experience.

Many beach restaurants are variable season to season. Theresa's not only has not gone downhill, but the food has been better and better in a lovely atmosphere. In warm weather eating on the outdoor patio is fun. In cool weather the inside of this BYOB has true original character of the original building that has been there since the at least the 1920's.

I moved to Maryland years ago but whenever I visit my Mom in Lavallette I always try to stop in at the Ark. Been going there for as long as I can remember (finished their 40-40 beer club list a long time ago) and I've never had a bad meal, no matter what I order (usually seafood, though I really like their hot wings as well). The place was hopping, even on a Saturday night in February(!) but we were seated quickly and served just as fast (without feeling rushed). Very diverse menu but they seem to do everything well. If I still lived close by I'm sure I'd go there enough that they would know me by name very soon (it really has that great "local hangout" kind of feel).David, thank you so much for your kind words!! Not used to finding many fast food type rib places. The food was very good although the ribs were a little over cooked and dry. The staff was courteous and professional.

This place has fabulous potential to be the outstanding steakhouse in the area. But the atmosphere could be enhanced...adding white cloth tablecloths would elevate this locale to a deserved level to match the quality of the meats.Love their option to bring your own wine!

Daniel's is one of the best restaurants at the Jersey Shore and one I frequent regularly. The quality, freshness and variety of the menu means that everyone in a group will find excellent choices and as always happens with my group, wings up completely satisfied. Portions are just the right size and BYOB means that you can have a very reasonably priced evening for the quality of the meal. I have no hesitation about recommending Daniels fully. Do not miss this great experience.

4 friends stopped in for some delicious lobster roll. Being from the the Northeast Iâve been lucky to experience good lobsters rolls previously from Cape Cod to the Hamptons and Point Lobster is the real deal. Great outdoor covered seating too. The lobster was plentiful and succulent. As a matter of fact, my photo looks exactly like the photo shared by another poster so that means consistency in product. The only thing you should be aware is that they serve hot lobster roll only. Not the cold mayo variety which is popular in the Hamptons. The price was what I expected $19.99 for lobster roll and fries. If youâre not lobster roll fan, the standard fried seafood selection was also offered. Plus a delicious lobster Mac and cheese. But lobster roll is the main event here.

Our group had the chipotle wings, baby back ribs, bone-in chicken, and mac n cheese. Everything was so delicious! Best ribs Iâve ever had. My son and husband loved the corn and they cut it off the cob for my son, who has braces.

Do not expect fancy. Paper plates & plastic cups. Even plastic silverware (we brought our own). This is all about the fresh seafood! I had a pot of steamers and crab stuffed flounder. Exquisite. If you are a seafood lover, do not miss Shore Fresh. Itâs also BYOB so itâs on the more affordable side. Servers are courteous, friendly and food was ready in an appropriate amount of time. They also have tasty unsweetened iced tea, perfect to cleanse the palate of melted butter. One of my favorites!

After a several year absence, my wife and I recently dined at the Poached Pear to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were a little surprised / disappointed to find that the menu has changed very little since our last visit. But, we were pleasantly surprised to find the food to be as good as we remembered it to be. We did have a small issue with one of the plates that we ordered. My wife detests the taste of truffles. She wanted the halibut entree and asked the waitress if the chef could substitute something else for the truffle whipped mashed potatoes. The waitress readily obliged. But, when the entree arrived, it was seasoned with truffle salt. The waitress quickly removed the dish and replaced the entree. Thankfully, this was not something that my wife was allergic to. Mistakes happen and an indication of great service is when mistakes are correctly quickly and without question. We look forward to returning in the future.
