We heard this was a good place for whitefish, so we made the trip north to Paradise, on the shores of Lake Superior. The servers were excellent, the cafe is upbeat, and the food is great. They know how to cook whitefish, it was worth the drive. Happy trails.

My wife and I have visited twice in the last couple months. On the first visit, we just ordered burgers, but oh my gosh, they are simply outstanding. We also really enjoy the fresh cut fries. We ordered the same thing on the second visit and we will return soon. The restaurant is clean, pleasant and well managed. My only complaint is they insist on playing cheesy classic rock on a cheapo stereo.

We stopped into this pleasant business. In addition to a dining room, there is a bakery counter and a gift shop. The parking lot is gravel and accessibility could be a challenge. The dining area is scattered between two rooms so peek around for a table. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. At lunch time it was quite busy so the servers appeared rushed. The food was average without any frills or special touches (see pasty photo). It was good but prices were a touch on the high side. Diners should be aware that if you use a credit card, there is an additional 3% surcharge - an annoying surprise.
