Cash Only! This place is definitely got the old diner vib. We came in with 6 people and sat at the high top. The waitress seemed to talk more to the older customers than want to serve us. We had a feeling the locals didn't want us in here. Anyway the food was okay and kerbed our hangovers. We haven't been back since.
Isador's Organics is a chef-driven cafe that specializes in quick serve slow food. We have fun with food and believe that food should be fresh, flavorful, and uninhibited. Our cafe serves sandwiches, homemade soup and salads, freshly pressed juice and smo
PLEASE bring back PIRATE CHICKEN! I miss that sandwich. Food is delish and staff is kind and attentive.
Subway as we all know it. Nothing special just the same as always. I can't say that for all subways. Sometimes the bread is not fresh at some locations. But this one is good.

Heard a few people talking about this place so my friend and I decided to try it. It was very crowded but I had called an made reservations so we were seated immediately. The waitress was very nice got us drinks right away and we asked her to leave us alone for a while because we were catching up, which she did. we finally ordered and I ordered the veal parmigiana and my friend ordered a chicken dish which she wanted the kitchen to leave out a couple of things, artichokes and peppers, but they were not able to as the chicken was already stuffed, My veal was a little bland and the linguine it was served with was not very hot and very little sauce. my friend's dish was a stuffed chicken sliced into three pieces and drowned in sauce, Overall, the best part of our meal was the friendly waitress.

So this place has improved a lot. 4 years ago it was nothing special. Now the food and seasonal menu is really on point. This just became a go to place for me to eat in Oxford. The open face fish tacos were tasty, and the sauce and slaw were just terrific. The fried calamari were also great. They also had 3-4 choices for my vegetarian wife to pick from and really nice choices not just a salad.

Went there Saturday nights night and there was a great band playing (Joyco). Fun time! All the food was great. The Parmigiana dishes were all excellent!! The place was packed which says alot for the food and entertainment, so make a reservation or youâll stand there for a while waiting for a table! Service was awesome! Just a great place!

We more or less stumbled on Carl's on the way to somewhere else in Oxford. When we pulled into the parking space in front of it, I was a bit skeptical of what we would find. But that skepticism was quickly and decisively dispelled as we approached the entrance. You don't turn a knob, you don't push or pull the wooden door, you slide it. This, I thought, is a cool feature, but it only hints at what awaits you when you step inside. This diner is so authentic it deserves not only to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places but also designated a National Treasure. Everything about it proclaims, "here you will find the real deal." The counter is any Diner's lodestar, and the counter here assures you that you've reached your destination. We got to Carl's near closing time, but there were still a few diners at the counter -- all no muss, no fuss, dyed-in-the-wool locals, dining and chatting as only locals do. The atmosphere was happy and friendly. The staff, if anything, was friendlier. I ordered a kielbasa sandwich, chicken noodle soup, and iced tea. The soup and tea were delicious, but the sandwich was mind-bogglingly epic -- enough for three sandwiches anywhere else. It came with homefries that were from another time, another place. They were simply outstanding. It's been at least 30 years since I've had homefries that good. I never expected to have anthing like them ever again. Now I know where to find them, and, believe me, I'll be back, God willing. The prices are beyond reasonable. They don't stint on quality, they don't stint on service, and they definitely don't stint on satisfaction. The past has never tasted so good.
