I had lunch here (it's in the casino complex). I wasn't very impressed. The buffet is way overpriced, and the food is mediocre. Skip it, and eat elsewhere. There are enough great choices around town to not waste money here!

This restaurant should be packed but on a Saturday night - empty. This is our second time and the reason we went back is because the food is excellent and we were going to give the service another opportunity to redeem themselves. Sorry to say, it was not improved and was more disappointing than our last visit. If they could only get their act together. I ordered the Tuna appetizer and asked for some soy sauce. The waitress finally came and said that they did not have any. This is really inexcusable. There are two other restaurants in the casino and she could have maybe borrowed soy sauce from them? Not sure about this. Server was unpleasant and could care less if we needed anything. We spent over $160 and don't know if we will go back again.Sorry for any frustration you experienced while you were visiting us. We pride ourselves on excellent service, so if your experience was not exceptional, then we apologize. Please let us know how we can improve. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope to see you again.

I canât say enough nice things about the Palace Café in Opelousas. The last time I visited here was over forty years ago, but even under new management, this is a very special restaurant. We were a party of four, family members who hadnât seen each other in a long, long time. The waitresses were just wonderful to us. They made us feel so welcome, even though we took a long time with our orders, and they allowed us sit and visit at the table for a couple of hours, instead of chasing us out when we finished our meals. When they found out that one of us was celebrating a birthday, they brought out a plate of homemade cookies, plus one special cookie with a candle for the birthday girl, sang to her, and even gave her the candle to take home in a specially marked baggie! Those cookies were delicious, and the waitresses could not have been sweeter. With that kind of special, personalized service, I will certainly visit the Palace Café any time Iâm in Opelousas, and I recommend you do the same. And oh yes - the food was very good! There are yummy things on the menu for everybody. Thank you, Palace Café waitresses, and especially Mary, for your amazing kindness, and for giving us a family experience weâll always remember!

Wanted crawfish bisque at Palace Cafe and they were out, ugh! Saw Frankâs PoBoys signage & decided to try it...great choice!! They offer a grilled shrimp PoBoy (fried too but we did grilled) it was Perfect-lots of shrimp, seasoned just right but most of all shrimp were perfectly cooked!! Onion Rings -great, home made...also had a Franks Special, needed more gravy which they happily obliged. Nice bar/sports on numerous TVs....glad we stopped!!

I go to Mama's occasionally. Yesterday was not a good experience. Staff in drive through rude, the bun of the cheeseburger was soaked and thin as a sheet. Not good at all. It tasted like it had been made awhile. Not fresh. I have had better and hope this was just a one time problem. Time before this I had the fish sandwich, same thing and the fish was really over cooked and hard. Come on guys.

We had seen a recent article calling it the most whimsical place to eat-- it was! We ordered sandwiches : Dean Martin- saluted shrimp, raspberry mustard, plus the normal fixings on focaccia bread. I ordered the J. Dillinger- ham, salami, creamy Italian and the fixings. Both were AMAZING! The owner, Wanda was very friendly and welcomed us just like we were at her home. If it couldn't get any better, we had freshly made bread pudding with cream sauce- best I've ever eaten!! We will go back!
