Is Sunday Noon after church a really hard time to serve people?8 of us went to Huddle house today at just before noon to eat.The previous trip about a month and a half ago, we all made the mistake to pull two tables together and order. Since we were a larger group than others in the restaurant, they made everyone else's orders before starting on ours. So it took over an hour to get our food, and we were told the reason it took so long was that we were such a large group that they couldn't get to our meals until everyone else coming into the restaurant were taken care of first, INCLUDING PEOPLE THAT CAME IN AFTER US.Today we tried again, but this time we split into 2 tables to avoid the same problem, and were served by 2 separate waitresses. We arrived at 11:50 and it took us over 10 minutes just to get a drink order in, our friends were even later, then after another wait, we finally got our orders taken. On our table we did tell the girl we would split the bill into the two couples. So evidently she entered 2 separate orders. My wife and I got ours first, with no sign of our companions food showing up. (she only ordered fried pickles, which were not good this time, but were ok last time. While i ordered a chicken sandwich) Our friends ordered 2 breakfasts. After 45 minutes had passed, our other friends at the other table, were getting antsy, and finally discovered that the orders for their table had been lost, twice. They promptly told the waitress, that after all the wait, that surely the restaurant wouldn't be charging them for the coffee they had been served and left 5 minutes later, without being served any of their meals. Don't know if they were charged for the water or coffee some had received, but This restaurant has tremendous problems. Our friends finally got served well after we had eaten our food, and we waited with them, The food was simply OK. Our server was possibly new, because she couldn't bring more than one item to the table at a time, whether a single side item, or each glass of something to drink. When our friends had finished, we noticed we had spent almost an hour and a half total, for a plain jane meal. Then checking out, we noted that the cook didn't seem to be able to cook more than one item at a time either. And the manager brought the 2 girls back to our section of the restaurant and pointed around and don't know what she said to them, but it simply did nothing for our service. The Ozone in Oakland has breakfast buffet until noon and we have frequented it several times with our group, and have timely food and service. There aren't a lot of restaurants in Oakland TN, and if anyone cared to run a business properly they should develop a decent guest base. This restaurant was previously owned by a family that had good steady clientele, but sold out to Huddle house several years ago, and one would think after several years Huddle House could figure out how to run a restaurant. Waffle house has nothing to fear from these guys, just wished we had one in Oakland.

stopped by on the way to an appointment for a quick bite. Even though it was after 5:00, there was only one other customer. We seated ourselves and had a pleasant, friendly server. As we left more than 30 minutes later only one other couple had arrived - and this was dinnertime. The barbecue was good - but a little bit dry. I had onion rings and they weren't quite crispy - could have been fried just a bit longer. The dinner was average for a bbq restaurant in W.TN. If I'm in Oakland again, I might stop at Brad's,

They have a great selection of food! They have lunch buffets & a Sunday buffet, which is quite busy. I love their peach cobbler on the Sunday buffet! Free ice cream with every meal too! Great & friendly wait staff. Good salad bar too!

I eat regularly with a group consisting of 15 to 20+ men and Olympic is very accommodating and provides excellent service and food. I really like it since they started the lunch buffet. They also have dinner buffet on various nights specializing in seafood and pizza. A good clean family orientated restaurant.

We were late learning about Loven-Fresh. But have been many times since. The barbecue is always fresh and excellently prepared. It is on the sweet side, which is my preference. And the sides are all just as good, wonderful baked beans, cold slaw, fries, with really great sauce. You won't regret this establishment.
