North East is a borough in Erie County, Pennsylvania, United States, 14 miles (23 km) northeast of Erie in the northernmost part of the state, and the county's northeastern corner. Fruit growing was an early economic endeavor, and is still to this day, as this is a popular area for especially cherries and grapes. There is an annual Cherry Festival in the summer and an annual Wine Country Harvest Festival in the fall. It contains one college, Mercyhurst North East. The population was 4,294 at the 2010 census, down from 4,601 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Erie Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the northernmost town in Pennsylvania. The name "North East" seems to be a misnomer since the borough is located in extreme northwestern Pennsylvania, but it is so named for its northeastern-most location within Erie County.

Also called the Jammin Vine. The name and location made me think it could be more of a wine centered restaurant with a cafe style setting. This is your standard roadside bar and grille with TVs, pool table, and feels like you and your buddy converted your basement into a man cave/hang out spot. It is conveniently located between the NY state side I-90 and on the wine trail and near some great North East PA wineries. Despite the bar atmosphere, I was highly impressed with my meal. Their wings were cooked to perfection and the sauce was great too (no puddles at the bottom of my basket). There was a wing special going on too. Plenty of sauce choices for those that like to choose from a variety of standard and unique options. The waffle fries were also tasty and prepared perfectly. For me, this was a perfect lunch stop. I would happily stop by here again for a bite to eat on my way through.

First, this place deserves a far better rating than #16! There food is delicious and plentiful. They have a beer list that is amazing for a small town. We go here a lot after rehearsals with North East Community Players. The wings are top notch, the burgers are huge and fresh, and all else I have tried has been great! The portions fill you up and the price is right! Give Speed'eez a try!

We've been a returning customer for about 7 years. Adjacent to Holiday Inn Express, right off I-90. They serve sandwiches, wings, and dinner plates. The food is very good. Never left disappointed. Service is good. They make their pies and cakes on the premises. Check them out if your ever in the area .

We took some out of town guests. Previous mgmt. was good. This time fancy names for food that mgmt. can't produce. One guest ordered fish. Two fried looking pieces came cris-crossed on plate with sauce for $16. Plate was plain and empty looking. I ordered a noodle and shrimp dish. It was just warm, noodles somewhat hard and tasteless and I think 2-3 small shrimp cut up in tiny bites. They need to stick to a few simple basic dishes. They already have the atmosphere . Wine list is locally grown wine. Sorry to say is fair.

Stopped in here as we were driving back home to Toronto from a family vacation in Florida. The previous TripAdvisor reviews encouraged me to take the family to the Ruffed Grouse. Very unassuming from the outside, and basic but clean and functional on the inside. Here is the good part:1. Outstanding and friendly service from the locals2. Well priced drinks and food $50 for four of us including a couple of pints for me and one for the wife. 3. Amazing burgers.... seriously, top 5 burger for me, end stop! I had the bacon cheeseburger and the size, taste, freshness of toppings and bun were unparalleled. I chose rings on the side which were crunchy and delicious. Will definitely be back if ever in the area again. Would recommend this to anyone who wants a no frills experience with focus on friendly service, good prices and excellent food.

Our second bad experience here. Started with older waitress who seemed to have an inexplicable chip on her shoulder when taking our orders, and ended with diarrhea after we got home - and we just ordered a simple hamburger! Not sure what's going on with the food, but very poor quality and cleanliness. Not recommended.Tom H Singapore, We are sorry you had a bad experience. We take the upmost care in the safety and cleanliness of our food and establishment. Please call us if you have a medical emergency so we can try and isolate a problem if there is one. Our hamburgers are delivered fresh twice a week from an established food provider. We have had no other complaints yesterday or today an would like to notify our food provider if there is an issue. Also if you have a problem with our staff we would also like to know first hand so we can correct their behavior. We do not always have the time to check reviews daily from all of the national sites. We hope to resolve this with you and that someday you will join us again for a meal. Have a blessed day.

Had a fine dining group go here but have to be honest we were disappointed. I ordered the Mac and cheese. Felt it was expensive for just a few scant pieces of lobster. Plus it was dry as well. He wife had a hickory wrapped salmon. She liked it but commented the rice was too sweet but that’s a matter of taste. We did like the onion soup. Our service was slow. Menu was limited in my opinion. I will not go back.
