First time having lunch here and I was not disappointed. I had the grilled cheese with bacon jam, Wow! what can I say except you have to try it yourself. Real Bacon bits in a sweet jam on grilled cheese and the bread was yummy. My friend had the grilled cheese with pulled pork and said its the best she ever had. I Love the atmosphere too with lots of quotes on the chalkboard walls, such a great place and every table had fresh flowers, which is not something you see a lot these days.

First visit while in area. Limited menu. I had meatloaf which had sausage in it, menu did not mention that. I do not like sausage. Bread filling was nothing but grilled potato bread cubed, no flavor. I swear the "mashed potatoes " were leftover baked potatoes, smashed, placed in a mold and dumped on plate. Also did not like. Husband had fried chicken and said it was good but very salty. Corn fritters and iced tea were good. Server was friendly and efficient. Much better PA Dutch for elsewhere. I would not return Dear Lather66, Thank you for taking the time to offer us your review . I do apologize you did not enjoy your meal with us . I assure you our meatloaf is not made with sausage and our mashed potatoes are made from Yukon gold potatoes and we leave the skin on them. We are please to hear our server was friendly and efficient and I hope you will give us another opportunity to provide you with excellent service and product.

For a small local restaurant with some local color, stop at Blue Ball where the service is fast and friendly. It's a place where everyone knows everyone. It has the absolutely best pattie melt, a freshly grilled hamburger topped with melted American cheese, grilled onions all stuffing 2 slices of grilled rye bread. It's served hot off the grill. It's priced at $4.25 so it's so much better than that stuff from a fast food drive thru any day.

Great sandwiches and friendly service. This is a nice place to eat if you just want a really good, inexpensive, quick, simple lunch. My husband and I split a chicken salad wrap and it was excellent, very fresh veggies and lots of flavor. We would definitely recommend stopping in and not just shopping the market side, which is exceptional on its own, but stopping in Amo’s and getting a bite to eat. We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Everything we’ve tried has been great. The portions large and the prices reasonable. This is very apparent when you see all the locals eating here. It is definitely worth a try. Thank you so much for your kind words! I will make sure to pass your comments along to the manager and employees at Amos' Place :) We're glad that you've enjoyed every visit that you've had with us, and hope to see you again soon!

The Harvest Cafe is a must try. The food is fresh and delicious. The turkey on their sandwich is fresh turkey, not processed. The chicken salad wrap with the cranberry relish is very tasty. There is ample seating available, but this place gets very busy and you may have a bit of a wait during peak times...but it is worth it. The place is kept clean with an extremely friendly staff. It is a pleasure to go there. This has become my favorite go to place.

New Holland Family Restaurant

I have eaten here a number of times with my wife and group of traveling friends. On all occasions, the service and food have been great. For the most part, the New Holland Family Restaurant serves very well prepared and high quality comfort food. However, some of the specials rival the best restaurants in taste, preparation and innovation. The only downside to this restaurant is its popularity with a dedicated set of local patrons. On Friday and Saturday evenings, it can be jammed. As I'm from out-of-town, I always plan to be there not later than 4:30PM to enjoy a quiet dinner. And, . . . in keeping with many restaurants in the Amish areas, they are closed on Sunday.
