From the pizza to the sandwiches to the ice cream this is some of the best food in town. Only complaints are the lack of indoor seating and no unsweetened tea.Thank you so much for your review. We found ourselves in Mt. Vernon around lunch time and decided to try Hawg "n" Sauce after reading a review in the Courier & Press. The restaurant is very easy to find and has a large parking area. I ordered the pulled pork platter along with the baked beans and potato salad. My wife ordered the pulled chicken "naked" (i.e. without sauce), fried okra, and carrot & celery sticks. We both thought the food was very good with adequate portion sizes for lunch. I also tried a piece of their coconut cream pie and it was very good also.

I have tried on many occasions to eat here but they are super slow at the drive through and at least 50% of the time are out of what I order. Good luck!
