Things to do in Mount Horeb
It's Subway, you know what to expect. It's cleaner than a lot of Subways and the staff seemed to care about what they were doing, which doesn't always happen at a fast-food restaurant. It's a good place to grab a sub.
A modern take on the traditional Norske style beer hall. Bringing upscale pub food, crafts cocktails and a large selection of craft beer to blend with the rich Norwegian heritage of Mount Horeb.
Fabulous new place in MountHoreb. Our group of 4 visited the weekend this place opened; they were only serving drinks and appetizers at the opening. The owners said they plan to add a full menu soon. We tried three items from the appetizer menu. The cheese curds were beer battered in house and were excellent - perfectly cooked with great flavor in a good portion size to share. We also had the sidewinder fries - these too were very good And pairs well with the bbq sauce. My favorite was the sweet potato pub chips with a sriracha aioli dipping sauce - a amazing flavor combo. I will definitely be back and will be ordering the pub chips again. They have a good cocktail list - the blackberry sunshine and blueberry basil mule were both hits with our group. The beer list (24 tap options) showcases a good variety of craft beer styles, featuring some top choices from Wisconsin and breweries across the US. We are excited to go back to see what's on tap next in their rotating menu.I'm so glad you had a good experience. All our hard work has paid off, We have made the finalist lists for The Best of Madison Magazine 2020 in three categories. So please stop in and see all of the wonderful we have added since you were here.

Sunday Lunch of Great Bloody Marys and Awesome Burgers that came with Homemade Chips or Salad Greens. Our Bartender/Waitress Karly was personable and friendly. They have many other Sandwich choices and entrees, plus a very good Craft Beer selection. Will definitely return for the Service and Food!

â¦but it just doesn't fit. We had the lamb special, the lamb was excellent, but the supporting dishes (scalloped potatoes, string beans) were under-cooked. Creme Brulee was only OK. Great service, good atmosphere, good bar. This is an expensive restaurant for the area; the food should have been better.

WHAT THIS IS:1) A great family run business in the heart of beautiful Mt.Horeb.2) A Small Diner with limited seating capacity.3) A place to get a large, tasty helping of food at a very reasonable price.4) A place with a very friendly atmosphere.WHAT THIS IS NOT:1) A fine dining restaurant with real silver utensils and china plates2) A place for high end food such as Lobster and Filet mignon.3) A place where you are served by someone in a tuxedo4) A place that will herniate your bank account. That all being said, this is a five star CAFE, not a five star upscale restaurant. People come here because what they do have is delicious food in large portions at a reasonable price, served by caring waitresses. What more needs to be said?

My wife and I enjoyed a very reasonably priced breakfast here that did not disappoint. Both of our meals were excellent and delicious, and the service was speedy despite it being busy. The coffee and tea however were not as good. My Americano was bitter and her pot of Earl Grey tea was just okay. I think it may be partially due to the quality of the water there.

This bar/restaurant is a favorite of my Wisconsin family. I'd hear about it from them, and was glad to visit it. It's a pretty big place, and seems bright and well kept. The service was good and friendly. I'm sure if I had tasted the pizza, my rating would have been even higher, I saw one and it looked really good and cheesy. They had other menu items like tacos and wings too. I hope to come back when I can try the food. One unique thing about the bar was the hooks hanging from the ceiling (picture), they were for snowmobile helmets! And I guess they really do get used too. The only negative was the parking. We parked in front, but it was tricky backing out onto the road when we left.

Local Brewery featuring 12 of our own beers on tap and many award winning. Many local food offerings and full bar. Daily specials include Friday FishFry and Sat Prime Rib. 2Nd floor is home to Pizzeria and full bar with many large screens for the games.
There are tons of beer selections from all over the area so no shortage of good drink ideas. Our dining party included a 5 year old so when the drink selection included local root beer, that sold everybody on a "different" beer. The menu has lots of choices and everything we ordered was tasty, hot and nicely sized. The service was friendly but could have been a little quicker but gave them a pass because our two waitstaff had the entire restaurant.
