We are in the Moline area every once in a while and have eaten here twice in the past 2 years and had great meals. This visit was terrible, atrociously bad. We had a 4:30 reservation because we thought that would allow plenty of time to get to a 7 pm event. We arrived right at 4:30 and were seated. Waitress was very friendly and kind. However, it was clear the restaurant was understaffed. She had way too many tables and it took forever to get our drink order taken and then dinner order. We finally got our meals at 5:45. 4 of the 5 entrees were cold. Not lukewarm, cold. One burger had to be sent back because it was ordered âmediumâ and came bright red, it didnât look cooked. Waitress smiled thru hearing about cold food, and we sent one other entree back for reheating. However, since time was an issue others didnât want to make a fuss. Manager never approached our table. Nothing was comped. We basically just wanted to pay the bill and get out. We didnât want to make a scene since our guest had made the reservation and was excited for us to eat here. We will never be back and I would strongly urge anyone reading reviews to be cautious. Also- if you see my other trip advisor reviews, I rarely ever do not like a restaurant. This dinner was glaringly bad.

We have been eating Harris pizza for 50 plus years. They have expanded their menu over the years to include many other food items. The pasta, chicken wings, and sandwiches are very good. Service is good and usually pretty fast at getting your food. The only problem I have had is parking. Wish they were open a little later at night.

Made 5:15pm dinner reservations before an 8pm show at the Adler. In true QC style, you'd expect a car crash during Friday night rush hour on the IL bound lane of the I-74 bridge. At 5:10pm, we phoned the restaurant to make sure the reservation was still available while expecting to be 30 minutes late. The accommodating staff host assured us it was quite alright and we were promptly seated upon our arrival at 5:45pm. Our server, Jacob, was courteous, friendly, and efficient. We told him we needed to leave by 7:15, and he provided us a great dining experience, while getting us out on time. I ordered a dry-aged DelMonico, and my spouse had the filet. Both were fantastic and were cooked exactly how we asked. I understand that some reviewers have mentioned the service here is slow, and I did notice some other parties looking around for their server. Perhaps this isn't the best restaurant if you are in a hurry? All I can say is, our experience was excellent, and we look forward to returning next time we are in the QC.

Coffee house, bakery, Sandwiches, Breakfast
After my daughter and I did some shopping nearby, we stopped for lunch. We needed extra time before ordering because so many things sounded appealing. She opted for the Diablo Salad and I had the Fruity Chicken sandwich with a cup of the Roasted Red Pepper Gouda soup. The presentation of the food was as wonderful as the flavor. My daughter raved about her salad, and I enjoyed the textures in the chicken salad as well as the large chunks of moist chicken. But the soup.....oh, that was amazing. It was so good that we took two cups of it home to have for dinner that night. I am from Chicago and don't get out that way often, but I definitely want to return to try something else and to get more of that soup.

We came here for dinner before a Paul McCartney concert. Some of the music playing in the background was Beatles songs. The Mississippi blonde ale and the 2 pale ales were quite good. The Cobb salad came with a homemade Bleu Cheese dressing and extra Bleu Cheese. The BBQ plate came with 2 meats and 2 sides. All very good and relatively inexpensive.

Saw this place advertised on Johnny Carson and decided to make a day of it as we drove over an hour to get here. We felt welcome the minute we walked in door. Our waiter was fast and efficient. The rolls were warm and yeasty. The French onion soup was super cheesy and delicious. The crab cakes were perfect. The meatloaf was really good. Overall, a really good dining experience. Glad we made the trip.

This restaurant is a gem amongst other resturants. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. The servers are great. Anyone who doesnt think so is not observant or considerate. The food---ah, it's a real bargain and they cook it with expertise in the kitchen. Its my restaurant!

At Johnnyâs, our steaks take center stage and are complemented by a gourmet assortment of Italian cuisine and seafood, alongside an expertly curated wine list. Whether you choose our famous Steak DeBurgo or the classic Chanel No. 5, youâre sure to satisfy
where to start? Arrived a few minutes early for our reservation, were seated just inside the door, it seemed. Service arrived later -- much later. Calamari appetizer was good, property cooked to my way of thinking. Then things went south. After some time, the server arrived; we ordered wine. it was presented later. We ordered dinner; salads arrived, mine had the wrong dressing. Server disappeared. Finally asked someone on the floor to find her. She returned. I pointed out that I asked for blue cheese dressing, not the house. Ok. She said, leaving the salad at the table. Steaks arrived next. My companion said, no, I don't want the entree with my salad in front of me. My "other" salad arrived. Server asked if we wanted our steaks returned to the kitchen. Yes, thank you. At some time after we finished our salads (punishment perhaps?) our steaks returned, I've never seen a skinnier ribeye -- or had one so salty and overcooked. AT this point, our goal was to eat and leave. After paying the tab, my companion asked a nearby person to talk with us. "Are you the manager?" he inquired. "For today, yes" she replied. My companion related our adventure She said she could not adjust the tab since it had been run, but offered us her sympathy and a glass of wine. we accepted both. Suffice to say I've been here before and I loved the food and service. But I guess all good things must end. I will be back in Moline, but not at Johnny's.Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I am disappointed to hear about your recent experience. I noticed you have dined with us before and this is not typical but did happen and I do sincerely apologize. I have shared your review with management and the culinary team to use as training/learning opportunities. I appreciate you letting us know so we have the opportunity to make improvements where needed. I do hope you will be willing to give us another try. If you have any additional feedback please send to [email protected]. Thank you.

Family chicago style pizza joint
This small family run place does an excellent job. Three of us shared a Cesar salad without the chicken and a large thin crust pizza with sausage, tomatoes and giardenira. The salad was crisp and tasty served with plenty of an excellent dressing (in a package) on the side. The pizza was packed with toppings and delicious. The only thing I would change were the peppers. We thought they would be milder due to the type they were. We like hot peppers a lot but in this case they overwhelmed the other flavors so we picked many if them off. Still, a great pizza.

Visiting the casino for a show. Got there early and thought we'd have a cocktail at Ruthie's. Hostess asked if we had a reservation and, no we didn't. We had already eaten at an amazing restaurant elsewhere! The bartender overhears our conversation and says over the wall 'reservations only'. Way to go Ruthie's'... because your reviews don't already stink!!! Glad we ate elsewhere! BTW, one star only because zero wasn't an available option.
