Hostess was wonderfully joyful and welcoming. Food provided Intense flavors of each item...presentation artistic. Service engaging and fairly attentive. Water request was necessary. The room is a big barn-like cavern which provides an unrelenting din. Although the food is very good the prices are excessive.

We are temporally closed for renovation and hope to be open soon. The Gem Creole Saloon is located in the same historic building that hosted the Gem Saloon in the 1800's- Featuring such New Orleans - inspired classics as fresh oysters, gumbo, crawfish eto
recently dined at Gem Cajun Saloon for a belated engagement dinner. for the most part, everything was top notch. The Fried chicken was excellent as was the BBQ shrimp. the beignets were HUGE. Having had beignets in New Orleans these were 4 times the size. Unique drinks and a large wine menu. The hushpuppies were a little dry. The place gets busy on weekend nights, so reservations are recommended. .oh and the sweet girken pickles with the chicken were greatThank you for taking the time to write your wonderful review. So happy you enjoyed the food at the Gem.

The Diner serves up fresh, made-from-scratch food 7 days a week; we source as locally as possible, and work with our partner farmers to offer seasonal specials. We're open for breakfast and lunch from 7:00am to 3:00pm every day, and serve weekly dinner sp
Donât be put off by this restaurantâs location on the property of a modest chain hotel. Itâs also small (as is their menu), but the food is terrific! I enjoyed the potato leek soup. Delicious! I also had the burger with mushroom. Really tasty. The strawberry lemonade is excellent. Service is friendly.

This little known to visitors restaurant is a quintessential local lunch spot. All made on site, it has been a McMinnvile lunch bunch favorite for 30 years. It is nestled above the 1896 and Cupcake stores on 3rd street in the middle of downtown.Mcminnville. Locals always order both the Creamy Swiss Garlic and Marinated Mushroom dressings on the side. Donât pass up the Turkey Trauma or Turkey Cashew salads. No meat thank you - order the Veggie or Shrimp salad. Cup of homade soup and you are good for an afternoon of shopping or wine tasting in the very heart of wine country. It is very easy on the wallet, leaving more for those Oregon wines.

Amazing fresh breakfast in a hometown diner atmosphere. Waitress was super friendly. We had potatoes covered in cheese and spices with fresh salsa and homemade bread with house jam. So good. Iâve lived here 21 years and I cannot believe I never visited until now. Iâve always heard it was delicious, but I donât usually go out for breakfast. I may have to plan more breakfast dates.

We dined at the Thistle last evening. Loved the smallness of the space, the service was spot on and the food devine. Every dish very creative and perfectly prepared. And loved the fact that the menu changes regularly. Itâs the extra special chef that takes the time to plan and organize to give their guests ever rotating choices.

This restaurant and brew pub is located in lovely McMinnville--the heart of Oregon wine country. I recently had dinner there with friends. I have been there on a number of occasions. The menu is outstanding. The service is professional, which is sometimes unusual for a college town. The servers are attentive but not pushy. They feature numerous homemade appetizers, entrees, etc. The menu is extensive with a large variety of choices. Our server, Jon, was very helpful in all respects, including pointing out favored dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant. There are numerous restaurants in McMinnville, many of which are excellent. However, this restaurant is outstanding because of its reasonable prices and virtually unlimited selections with an extensive wine list, beers and ciders, as well as a full bar.
