After an incredibly disappointing meal the night before at another establishment in Dunsmuir, this meal and experience more than made up for it! Quick and friendly service, incredibly delicious food, good beer (the Rusty Spike), outdoor seating, live music (guitar done beautifully). Kid and dog friendly. Lots of street parking making for a short walk to the restaurant. Definitely a hidden gem and well worth the stop. Helped make our anniversary celebration very enjoyable and memorable.

Our family owned mountain cafe takes pride in serving hearty and healthy breakfast all day and lunch after 11am. We use the freshest and most flavorful ingredients possible to create our, mostly from scratch, full menu. We offer many vegetarian, vegan and
We had a really good breakfast here. Weather was perfect, and we ate in the small outdoor area. It was neat to view all the older buildings...just a really "special feel" to the area. The coffee was a great beginning, nice and strong. I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict. The waitress was friendly, and we enjoyed visiting with others seated nearby. I would certainly go back if in the area again.

Wow! My son suggested this place for lunch and I was completely surprised how delicious it was! Super creative and tasty burgers and entire menu was unique with fresh ideas for sandwiches and burgers. I had a burger with pastrami on it and chocolate barbecue sauce, to die for!
Went there with two friends and we had a great time and good eats! I love the glass boot of beer! Big room, nice cozy fire place couch area! Also a great stage for music!! I live in Mount Shasta and the short drive over Snowmanâs Hill is just so worth it!!
$1.75= a thick, soft, homemade molasses cookie...literally the best I have ever purchased. The coffee? $2.50 for 16oz. A major disappointment. I had my own container. You pay at the counter and fill the coffee yourself. The coffee I chose ended up being near its end, the pump ended up adding an excessive amount of grounds into my cup (did not know until I drank it later on the road). I also had to mix the coffee I chose with another one because the one I chose had run out. The mix of coffees and the mouth full of grounds were a real downer.Clearwater Coffee & Kitchen offers a small seating area inside and out. They offer sandwiches and wraps as well as a case of homemade cookies/scones.
Located at the north end of the McCloud Historic District, the Axe & Rose Public House offers a unique Mt Shasta dining experience, full bar and traditional pub style menu. Once the workforce cafeteria for the old lumber mill, and later a dance hall, the
This is the only restaurant in McCloud open every day. Next door to, and operated by the McCloud Hotel, this spacious and friendly bar/restaurant attracts a good crowd. Decent and filling menu selections, nice draft beer choices, and an active bar area adds to the appeal. $2 tacos on Tuesday brings in the crowd. Nice outdoor area overlooks hotel garden.

Not a chain burger place. Popular local place; we thankfully arrived just ahead of the high school baseball team! We got the regular hamburger and cheeseburger and onion rings. Burgers were juicy, buns fresh, and lettuce, etc fresh as well. Quick prep and a good price.

Relaxed fine dining with historic ambience and Mission décor for elevated American fare with California, French and Mediterranean flair. The imaginative menu changes with the season to include vegetables and herbs from our own garden in addition to grass-
The atmosphere was lovely and the service was attentive but not intrusive. Check. We enjoyed the lump crab cake appetizer, which was very good. Check. The entrees however were disappointing. My "arctic char" was very fishy and I did not eat much. The veggies that accompanied it were a combination of overdone and underdone. Hmm. Minus. My husbands "beef roast" was even more disappointing. Dry, over salted, and the amount of garlic masked any veal stock flavor that may have redeemed it. Minus. The cheesy polenta that it was served on however, he enjoyed. I had heard such good things about this restaurant. Was hoping for better.

Some of us had breakfast and others sandwiches. Everyone was pleased. The food was good with serving size plentiful (we took home a box). Waitress was friendly and busy. It was particularly pleasant on a rainy day.
