Suzie Q Cafe is an authentic Valentine Diner. Established in 1948, brought in on a trailer, parked at 14 2nd Street NW, and has stayed put ever since. We have 10 little stools to dine in, and when the weather is right, we have tables outside as well, wher
It's a tiny Valentine Little Chef that feels just right. It's know for its pork tenderloins so that's what I had although there were photos of other tasty looking offerings above the grill. The tenderloin was great and Troy, the cook/owner was friendly with a few jokes mixed in with the food. Looks like a place I would enjoy breakfast.

This restaurant has quite a varied menu - everything from salads to burgers to pasta to Mexican. Tasty food around the table - seafood Caesar, chicken Philly, bakes cod, and taco salad. Quiet place to visit after the lunch rush. Lots of TVs if you want to watch a game. Full bar. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Doug

We had supper here while staying overnight in Mason City. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed our little Table Times trivia while we waited. Our waitress was sweet and we had a great dinner! The place was just adorable and I wish we could go back :)

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and we could see why. The food was great--ribs and other barbeque options. Everything we had was tasty, and the pricing was competitive for the style of restaurant. The portions were very large, though, and we weren't that hungry that particular evening. I was surprised when my hamburger came with two large patties. But the wait staff was friendly. We would go there again if we were in town. Recommended--but go when you're hungry, or share an entree if you don't want to eat a lot.

The State Street Deli is in Mason City's downtown and is close to the classic Park Hotel. Sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts, and drinks are what offered. We ate lunch there twice during a recent stop in Mason City and the three of us enjoyed everything we ate. All was delicious and the staff was friendly. Go there and enjoy.

Service/staff was great. Seemed every employee, even the wait staff that wasn't serving our table, made contact with us asking how things were or removing dirty plates and drink refills. The food- the cheeseballs were recommended by friends that have eaten there before and didn't disappoint! Onion rings were also very good served with my sandwich. Both were cooked to a light golden brown. The tenderloin I had, well, wasn't too impressed. As said before the other fried food was a light golden brown but the tenderloin was a VERY dark brown. Compared to the other food it seemed overcooked. Didn't have much flavor either, maybe I was expecting a Spic-and-Span style tenderloin with more flavor/seasoning.My wife had the Western Burger. Instead of a traditional bun it was served between texas toast. As she squeezed to eat it the BBQ sauce oozed through the toast and made a sticky mess. If we would go there again she said she would ask for a traditional bun.Overall an okay visit with the cheese balls and service being the highlight of the visit and an extra dot for this.

30 yrs in for me and I still have never had a better steak anywhere else in the country. The fillet mignon is tender, juicy... perfection!Get the spaghetti side... in brown sauce (steak juices and butter) with tons of parmesan.Go early or be prepared to wait... the lounge opens before the restaurant so you can wait inside...This is my absolute favorite restaurant.

Strolled around the corner from the Historic Inn looking for dinner place on Friday evening. There is a walking style plaza with statuary, benches, shops and 3 or 4 restaurants all with patio seating. Selected this restaurant after going inside and viewing the menu. Decided to join those at the patio seating area. PROS: waitstaff was friendly, attentive and food and drinks served in timely manner despite being quite busy. Burgers were absolutely hand crafted and excellent. Shared fries and a large salad which were also above par. Very fresh with extras. Nice on tap and cocktail selection. Prices were reasonable. Enjoyed the ambiance and people watching; did not feel rushed.CONS: The patio spots were at a premium as it was a perfect night to sit outside. Diners arrived and moved tables and chairs around to suit their party which was annoying to those dining nearby, so, please add more outdoor seating. Recommend.
