Bud's is what many would call a 'dive bar', kind of dark and dreary inside, but they serve great food. Daily specials such as pan fried chicken, catfish, steak, and tenderloin - meat plus two sides and drink for $9. Can't beat that deal.

Stopped in for a local breakfast and we were not disappointed. It's a small place with 8-10 fixed stool and 2-3 tables just off the iconic courthouse square. I'm sure we were the only non-locals in the place. The help and customers were very friendly. The sausage paddies are huge. If you want a local experience this is the place. I assume they have a drive-in attached but we didn't see it. Their Facebook page shows burgers. I'll be back!

Right off the main highway leading into town, this Arby's is very conveniently located and was perfect for us for a quick lunch. The service is fast and Arby's horseradish sauce really perks up their sandwiches.

Had an excellent breakfast here with two buddies recently. Dave had some sort of omelet with 'crispy' hashbrowns and a pancake. He raved about it all, especially the hashbrowns. Bert had some sort of egg dish he enjoyed but what really impressed us all was the huge 'side' of corned beef hash that he ordered. Not only was the portion impressively large, but the hash was the best I've tasted in a long time. I had the taco skillet which was a mix of tasty taco meat, green peppers, onions, a couple of eggs all on a bed of tasty hashbrowns. The food was delicious, the portions were ample, service was good, coffee was adequate and all at a good price. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Applebee's was convenient for our first night's dinner in Marshall since we were staying at the Comfort Inn just across the parking lot. We've had a range of experience at various Applebee's around the country and in Canada from lousy to great. This one falls in the middle. The food was OK, not outstanding but I'd say a little above average (for Applebee's). Our waiter was friendly and helpful, no complaints. But, there was not much of a greeting when we came in. We had to stand there and look lost for a while to get someone's attention. So, that was the main knock on this Applebee's that differentiates it from being above average (for Applebee's).

Great hamburgers and fries. Loved the side salad and asparagus! Soft pretzels and yummy dip as appetizer was also good. Blackened chicken pasta was good as well. Kids had hamburger/fries and chicken tenders/fries and fried pickles as the appetizers—They all liked. We will be back!! Fantastic cocktails. Neat idea to have special of the month.

We visited at the urging of our college student grandson for pulled pork sandwiches for lunch. This isn't a sit-down establishment unless you sit down outside on a picnic table. It's a drive through that looks more like a modest house. They don't emphasize frills, just the food. The food's not fancy, it can be a little sloppy but a person doesn't come to this place for ambiance or pretty presentation. There's a reason it's so popular with locals of all ages. It's reasonably priced, you get decent portions and it tastes good.

Although we didn't eat at the restaurant this time (we usually do in October every year during our annual visit) we can definitely tell anyone that the pulled pork is absolutely delicious! Very reasonably priced and love that it is run by a family. This time we had the pulled pork at the fellowship hall of a local church after a funeral. It was soooo good many people kept going up for 2nd's and 3rd's! I can't say much about any of the other dishes except for their great mac n cheese because that's all I generally get there.
