William's Bar-B-Q

Decided to try this on our way through Memphis, right off the highway and had good reviews. Older part of town, old building, possibly sketchy neighborhood, total hole-in-the-wall place...BUT, if you want an authentic experience and excellent bbq...the chopped BBQ sandwich is incredible! Small menu, William himself sits at the counter, they take your order at the counter with a notebook and pen, and they add your total up with a calculator. Very glad we tried it...would definitely stop here again if we’re in the area!

When we arrived, FOUR employees were outside the building. A couple of them slowly filed in as we entered the building. Terrible food greasy taco meat that soaked the tostada shell. They were out of hard and soft taco shells! How does a TB not have taco shells? When I asked to substitute beans for meat on my taco salad, the woman preparing the food seemed irritated. There must’ve been less than a teaspoon of beans, much less than the regular amount that comes on it (and no extra to substitute for the meat). When I asked her to add some, she gave me attitude and a tiny salsa cup with a minuscule amount of beans. The men’s bathroom had a vile and overwhelming smell of “urine meets sulphur”.Overall, the place was unclean. The cashier was the only one who seemed friendly and helpful. We often stop at TB when traveling but I may have to rethink that. I definitely won’t be back to this one.

Nice casino type buffet kept clean. They have a special entree item nightly. Check for your favorite. The weekend seafood special seemed overpriced to several in my party though. It was almost double the price compared to the weekday buffet. Staff was attentive to beverage refills.

Half Restaurant. Half Store. All Country

We stayed at the La Quinta Inn next door and there are very limited dining choices in this area. I am actually surprised that some of the other major restaurant chains don't build here, since there are several hotels at this exit. We ate at the Cracker Barrel because it was within walking distance. There was a lot of paper debris on the floor, such as napkins, straw wrappers, food delivery tickets, etc. No one cares to sweep any of this up, so employees and guests just walk over it. The food is okay but not great, the carrots as a side dish were mushy like they were in water too long. Biscuits were delivered when we were half way done with our meal. And trying to get a refill on a beverage is a major project. If you want something cheap and edible, this place will do, otherwise, get in the car and drive.

We came with all our kids on Saturday night. The servers and waiters were all wonderful and extremely nice. Our crab cakes were delicious but the beef and bacon kebobs tasted old and were not served with the blue cheese sauce as the menu described. Our steak were actually really good and actually cooked very close to how we like them. The seafood pasta was good but the shrimp tasted frozen as the lobster tail did also. If this is to truly be a five star place, that is not acceptable. Truly the shining star on the menu are the desserts! They are massive and delicious!!

Great service nice cold beer where the temperature is displayed. Prices not to bad for a casino bar. Had a great time and was able to see many sport events on their many TV'S. If you in Memphis TN it's just across the river. Live dog racing with off track betting.

The restaurant is clean and employees were efficient. Ordered a cup of chili and it was very good, along with a baked potato. While the baked potato has to fit into the very small category for potatoes it was never the less freshly baked and good. Came with sour cream and chives. Also had a deluxe cheeseburger which was good. Meat good and bun fresh. This is a nice Wendy's. Will have to ask for a refill on your drinks. We had eaten at a Wendy's in Paducah, KY a few days before and ordered approximately the same thing. What was nice about this location was that the cheeseburger was exactly 30 cents less in price than the earlier one.We noticed other items on the Value Menu that were less costly than those in Kentucky. Thanks Wendy.

Started off with drinks that were fine and a bit slow. Ordered an appetizer at the same time as the drinks. Shortly after we ordered our steaks. The appetizer and salads came out together. The steak came out before I had my wedge salad cut. We had only taken one or two bites of the appetizer. So the timing of the meal was way off. Give me time to eat my app, then my salad. There was less than 5 minutes between all the food being brought out.I was convinced it was going to be a bad experience. However the steak was fantastic and turned it all around. I had the Hawaiian Ribeye and it was really well cooked and the flavor was great. The waitress brought our bill before we finished eating and it really felt like we were being rushed. We ordered another drink but it felt like we were being pushed out the door after we ate.

Shake Shack

Family-owned diner featuring many different burgers, sandwiches, side, shakes and much more. Music and memorabilia from the 40's, 50's and 60's. Our hospitable staff awaits you!

We are seven sisters on our annual trip which happens to be Memphis this year. The Shake Shack was rated high on TA so we gave it a try. Large variety of burgers, sandwiches, baskets, desserts on menu and, of course, milk shakes. Food was good and plentiful. Owners were “on hand” with visiting with customers, introducing themselves, getting refills, checking orders, helping staff. Very friendly. Prices extremely reasonable. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and certainly visit again. The restaurant name has been there a while but owners shared with us that the current building is brand new—built behind their previous building which is now a nice asphalt parking lot. Thank you so much for choosing to eat with us! We appreciate the kind words!! Hope you all enjoyed your trip!
