Herbies is the oldest operating restaurant in the Heart of the Florida Keys! Having been established in the late 1940's under the name Maggie's Chowder House, it has become a landmark restaurant and continued local favorite. While the restaurant is well e
Stopped here for lunch with my husband. We had the conch chowder, organic greens salad, and local shrimp. All were very good and the house made raspberry vinaigrette is really good. I would definitely eat here again and highly recommend it.

We always stop for lunch while visiting KCB. I always get the lunch size seafood italiano. It is amazing and loaded with seafood. Husband got the $10 ribeye...yes $10 off the special menu. It came with veggies and mashed potatoes. We left stuffed with two boxes. Great staff & clean bathrooms.

Perfect place to have a girl trip. The restaurant location is great. We sat out every night for our half price drinks and appetizers. Love the sea view, the light house, the open bar, the staff are very friendly. Mike the bartender was exceptional. Great drinks, great food and perfect night every night. Definitely in my agenda to go back.

We found his restaurant a bit by accident and we are so glad we did. The service was amazing. Quick, nearby, but not hovering. They used recyclable, sustainable, eco friendly utensils. My husband had the tuna sandwich. It was massive. I had the shrimp burger and it was so good. No filler. But the fries and atmosphere were the best. Good view, friendly people, and delicious food!

This is a casual family run restaurant that started out as a seafood market. They still have the market in the front and have added booth seating in the restaurant. Yellow rice and shrimp or fish is great and a large portion. The whole fried snapper is delish. Comes with coleslaw and plantains. Good home made desserts also.

I attended a client dinner with my husband at this location. It was one of the best dining experiences of my life. It is a small place with views of the water. White table cloths and superior service. Prices are a bit high but the quality of the food and the attention to detail and the service were worth every penny. The people who ordered the duck raved about it. Same with the rack of lamb. I ordered a filet mignon to be prepared medium. It was actually medium when served with a wonderful bernaise sauce. I have never had a more tender or better prepared steak. Five stars all the way. I do have to comment on the location. It is located in the Rainbow Bend resort. It is pink and looks like somewhere you donât want to run out of gas at. You will think that you have come to the wrong place. But you havenât. Look for the tiny sign for âhideawayâ just past the office.

Wonderful dining experience. Food was amazing. I had the special, the seafood bake. It was not overdone with breadcrumbs. Light and I could taste the seafood. Grouper, scallops and shrimp. All my favorites. Came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Husband had the Cuban pork chop, which he also loved. Rosemary bread along with Asiago bread with butter was served before our meal. Full bar. Service was attentive. No cons.
