We reached Drifter's cafe quite early in the morning straight after our long journey from Delhi. The cafe wasn't open yet and the staff was still cleaning, but looking at our tired faces and heavy backpacks, they offered us to sit in the cafe, kept our luggage in their office and served us a quick tea. We spent around 3 hour there and had a great time. The owner & staff was very polite and friendly. We were initially disappointed to find that one of our all time favourite restaurants in Old Manali (Shiva Garden), has been taken over by a new owner and management team. However, we were delighted to discover that only positive changes have been made. The food is still very good and reasonably priced. We sampled a number of dishes both Indian and Continental during our four week stay and kept returning simply because this still remains one of the best out of the plethora of tired and mediocre restaurants in Old Manali. The actual restaurant itself has undergone a total refurbishment with a newly opened top floor, a small cafe on the ground floor and newly decorated and furnished first floor. Unfortunately the garden area was not open during our stay, but one of the managers explained that this is next on their agenda.Lastly, all of the staff, , and I am including the kitchen boys, waiters and management team, are a delight. Always welcoming, polite and courteous. We recommend this restaurant.Hello, Thank you for such a beautiful review, we really appreciate it.
