Previous reviews and especially the online menu sounded encouraging. Reality was quite different. Actual menu rather pedestrian. Service was horrible - we were the only table occupied on the restaurant side after a party of 8 left shortly after we were seated but had to remind wait staff to bring appetizers after 1/2 hr. wait. Another reminder to check if entrees ready. Beef on bun was ok. Portabella pannini was garlicky with nice hot bun but cold portabella, minimal cheese or balsamic. Meh.
This restaurant is one of Newark's best kept secrets,Nana's does have limited hours but whenever I have been in there it isn't crowed and you can gt excellent service, The food I have eaten I have enjoyed just lunch so I have only had their sandwiches. Plenty of parking might be hard to get in with a wheelchair.

Open seating, lots of windows. Large menu. My sandwich was good and fairly priced. Seems to be a locals place to go. Large selection of desserts. Good place for lunch!
If you're looking for a good burger, ice cream, hot dog, fries, or other comfort food, look no further than BeeTee's. Run by a husband/wife team, the food is always good and cooked to order. It is closed in the winter, but open the rest of the year. Try it, you'll like it.

Our youngest daughter had a birthday party in the area so we looked to TripAdvisor for a recommendation & came across this gem. We were lucky enough to meet the owner who was tending bar who whipped up some phenomenal cocktails for me (winter white cosmo & several Moscow Mules) while keeping my husband happy with the craft beer selection (& our older daughter with N/A options). After a few cocktails, we had a wonderful dinner sharing the poutine appetizer to start. Hubby had the short ribs w/ a side of potatoes, I had the mushroom risotto w/ side of Brussels spouts & daughter had the truffle burger - all were phenomenal! We will go out of our way to return! Really awesome light fixtures!

Stopped in for dinner while returning home. I have stopped here before, but last time was over two years ago as I don't have business in Newark anymore. I hag goulash, which had a nice marinara type sauce rather than a normal smooth tomato sauce. It was a vegetable goulash and the sauce had peppers and onions and carrots (chunky cut). A nice spicy taste, not overpowering, yet delicious. I was torn between the goulash and the London broil, which I used to have regularly. A neighboring table got that entree and it looked just like I used to get and the man told his wife that it was very good. My waitress was Lizzy. She was great and made suggestions for sides. I had a cup of the beef vegetable soup which was definitely homemade and delicious. My wife got the hot turkey sandwich with french fries and cole slaw. The portions were large, but not overwhelming and the cost was reasonable. In fact, the London broil was at least two or three dollars less than in other restaurants and the quantity was the same as competitors.

It's a bar and grille, not a fine dining restaurant. And it's a very good bar and grille. We went for lunch on a Friday and the place was very busy. We were seated near the bar and could have a pleasant conversation. We ordered two different salads, a Caesar with chicken and a cobb. Both were very, very good -- fresh with lots of ingredients and large.I've driven past Parkers for ten years, and this is the first time I've been in. I wish I had stopped in years ago.
Arrived 12:05 pm, received meal 1:00 pm. Luckily boss was with employee. Very slow service, asked for one refill on Pepsi, even that had to be reminded. Large menu. Unusual menu. At least 10 types of quesadillas and Mac & Cheeses. My brother and I each had the quesadillas - sloppy joe and philly cheese. Both good. Other brother had Burger and fries. Big burger. And one Caesar salad ordered by secretary. Also good.

Had to steal "Hidden Gem" from another review, as this is the most accurate description. High quality, well prepared food in LYONS NY! Surprise!!! This restaurant would fit in well in Chicago, Philadelphia, or any large city; high quality food, interesting menu, professional staff, well decorated dining area (and bar). The food was well prepared, the server knew the menu and ingredients - everything was done well. Congrats to the management and chef.
