I've been to this location 3 times now. I won't be back for a 4th. First time about 3 years ago.. everything was good. Good food. Good service. 2nd time.. I ordered the cheese stuffed burger, my burger came out raw after waiting almost an hour for our food. ( On my husband birthday, ugh) when I say raw, I mean it. The inside of the burger looked like the cut the cow, put it on a bun and served it. Decided to give it another go 2 weeks ago. My mistake I guess, I ordered the same cheddar stuffed burger. ( I get this Everytime at the Roch location with no issues) Same thing. After waiting quite a bit, it came out well under done. I asked for it medium well, not rare! My son's burger also came out very pink. So the waitress took them back to have them redone. My son's came out ten mins later. I waited 20-25 mins for my burger to be returned. I could have chucked that thing against the wall and it wouldn't have phased this thing. It was literally charred. I couldn't even cut through it with out effort.. and the cheese was completely gone due to cooking it so long. I was disgusted. I ordered something else because the cook obviously had issues. I should have just said forget it. My family was already done eating and had been for a while at the point. But I ordered breakfast. Can't go wrong with eggs, home fries and toast right? Or I guess we can. The potatoes were tasteless.. and my toast had zero butter. I can't even make this up folks. The staff was friendly enough, the manager gave me free dessert for the wait. 2 hours gone for a meal that was a joke. Get a new cook. Or train the ones you have. Something. I won't be back anytime soon that's for sure.Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry about your meal and hope you can give us another try. Next time, if there is anything that can be improved, please let our managers know so we can make it right while you are still dining with us. Thanks again.

The Clam Bar is is more than just your average seafood place. Menu offerings include seafood, chicken, steak, and burgers. The Clam Bar is known for delivering exceptional food at an affordable cost.
Had wonderful food- thatâs a 5 star...service rushed. After I got my second glass of wine, manager came over to tell me people were waiting for this table. REALLY??? Why Sell me the wine? Take my money for the wine, and then say, âget the hell out?â Too rushed for comfort.

I always think it's funny when I read TripAdvisor's question about "does this restaurant have good vegetarian or Vegan food?" The question is, why would you want that here? The ribs (which I had) were sooooo good! Very sweet-and-smokey, just delicious. I also really love their baked beans, which has bits of rib meat cooked right in. Yummy! I wish they served corn bread with the entrees instead of garlic bread, but you could probably order that on the side. I really enjoy this place.

Despite the hype, I wasnât expecting too much. After all, this ainât Kansas City or Memphis or Austin TX. Seriously, how good can the BBQ be in Syracuse? Well, pretty darn good as it turned out. I had a sampler platter since I donât know if Iâll ever get back. I found the ribs to be the best, but would a darn happy guy if all I got was the brisket. Ribs had a nice smoky flavor and had just a light coating of sauce which I like. You can always add more sauce and youâll find a variety at your table. If you ever find yourself in CNY needing bbq, this is the place to go!

This is a nice little barbecue place on the north side of Syracuse. The service was good, the chili was excellent, prices were reasonable, ,and they had a good selection of beers to enjoy while listening to a live band.. I would normally give this sort of place a "4", but will up it to "5" for their support of live music

We stopped for dinner while staying in the area. Stella's is a classic diner with a comprehensive menu. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, the food was good and plentiful, and our drink glasses were never empty. The restrooms were clean as was the dining area. A solid choice if you are in the area.

We were making a pilgrimage East and stayed in Liverpool on our way. Looking over the area dining options, The Retreat caught our eye. This venue has been popular, operating in Liverpool for some forty-five years. Although remodeled across the years, the restaurant pub retains links to its roots with its lodge-style appearance. They have a large free parking lot adjacent. They have a couple areas of inside seating as well as a large outside patio, which includes a separate outside bar wherein live entertainment is offered. They have a quite extensive menu that includes Appetizers, Soups & Salads, Sandwiches, Burgers, and Beef, Poultry & Seafood Entrees. I had made up my mind that seafood would be my choice, before we even arrived. We chose outside seating, as the weather was beautiful. The view from the patio is nothing special, however, being outside on a nice day is always our choice. Our waitress was quite nice, friendly and efficient. Even on a Wednesday evening, The Retreat was quite busy. I will say our service was not the speediest, but we were in no rush to be anywhere else. We started with beverages and I had (& enjoyed) a dozen Steamed Clams. My other half chose the Vegetable Quesadilla (asparagus, roasted peppers, mushrooms, Asiago cheese, artichokes and spinach stuffed into a grilled tortilla with Monterey Jack cheddar and diced tomatoes, served with salsa and sour cream). She raved about this quesadilla, the vegetables were packed into a delicious shell and the size was huge. She frequently opts for quesadillas when we go out. This was one of her top two favorites ever. In my case, I continued my seafood theme with their Boston Harbor Bay Haddock (fillet of fresh Atlantic Haddock, carefully broiled with a lemon Dijon panko crust, cradled on a bed of New England clam risotto) and a side salad. The "side" salad was huge, with fresh, crisp greens and vegetables - excellent. The Haddock and the risotto continued the theme of very large portions. In fact, as we had watched our sandwiches and entrees served to those around us, the definite trend was large, great looking portions. The clam risotto was spectacular, rich and creamy with nice pieces of clam throughout. In fact, the risotto was only surpassed by the excellent Haddock filet, which was perfectly cooked. My spouse and I could not have been happier with our dining choice. If we did not live so far away, we would easily return here frequently as their menu had so many intriguing choices. We hope to have a future opportunity to dine here.

Stopped in to get dinner before heading to the hotel for the night. The waitress was very friendly. She offered multiple suggestions for dinner. I decided on the petite steak medium rare and asked to get a side salad instead of the mashed potaoes. I was told it would be an up charge. This is where the disappointment sets in. The steak came out medium to medium well. The salad was small, it was more like fruit cup size bowl than a side salad you would anticipate getting an upcharge for.Seems likeca great place to have a drink or get chicken wings or tenders at but not a salad with your meal. I'll try someplace elae the next time i have to stay in the area for work.

Dinner was overly priced. $12 for glass of wine, $5 for Bud light. Additional costs for cold risotto, crumbly bleu cheese for salad. Will never ever go there again!
