Whether you're enjoying Lake Gaston, Kerr Lake, or cruising I-85, Robinson Ferry Restaurant and Spirits is worth the drive! We offer a great selection of top quality steak, seafood, pasta, appetizers, a full bar rivaling big city selection with a focus of
It had been awhile since we visited but everything was fantastic. This restaurant would do very well if transplanted to a city with lots of competition: service is professional, with an interesting menu with specials that change. They take reservations. The bar is capable of a full suite of cocktails, selection of craft beers on tap, and some nice choices on the wine list. Itâs a very pleasant dining experience, with great food, for a reasonable price.Next time lake visitors ask to take us out for a nice dinner, we wonât say âgiven the choices, donât botherâ and Iâll say yes to going to Robinsonâs Ferry.

A couple friends and I ate dinner at Hardware Café on a Friday evening. We celebrated one of my friend's birthday. Since this very old building used to be a hardware store, the names of the gourmet sandwiches are quite interesting! I ordered the "Halter & Bit", which is mesquite turkey, lettuce, tomato, Havarti cheese, mayonnaise, and honey chipotle sauce on pumpernickel bread. Chips and a pickle came with the sandwich, which was delicious. I also had a microbrewery ale, which was a Friday night drink special as it was not on the menu. The atmosphere at this restaurant is very cool as I already mentioned, the building was a hardware store for decades. The building is around 100 years old, I'm sure.I'm looking forward to eating here again to try something else!

Boated over for lunch. Staff were really good, checked on us frequently. Food we ordered was done very well. Almost all the appetizers looked phenomenal as well. We were very pleased with both the food and service. Also love that they enlarged the seating area. Will definitely be back. Only thing that could have been better was cold draft beer.

We are from upstate NY, and were camping nearby. We made reservations so we could be sure to have a table, and were glad we did. Locals, campers and visitors fill the restaurant. We only waited about 10 minutes until our table was ready, but we did look over the buffet that was offered while we waited. Lamb, ham, turkey, chicken, and beef, shrimp, and pasta, plus all kinds of veggies, including salad fixings. In a separate room was the dessert buffet. Amazing of all the food. Between our waitress, and the one who helped her our room was always being watched over. Empty glasses and dishes taken away pretty quickly. Food was very good, almost all hot, new trays were brought in often to fill the buffet. Hope to try the regular menu next time we pass through this town!
Good service early in the morning while traveling from "Kiera". I ordered one of Denny's Skillets - the Santa Fe, which was very good. I also like more spice so I got a side of Salsa. The Skillets are around $10+, some a little less, some more. They only come with just the "skillet", no toast or any other side. Good stop right off the highway with a tasty bite to continue my long day of driving. The restaurants "auto tip" credit card machine at the counter should go higher than 22% without so many other steps. People like me want to tip at least 33% & above for good service! You are cheating your employees out of higher gratuities they could be earning from customers. Seems that I have encountered other credit card systems like this with higher limits for leaving tips along my numerous travels. Again, Kiera was excellent & I wish Trip Adivsor had all the "real" towns listed because this place is NOT really that near the coast, but it was all I had to choose from in order to get them listed.

NOTE - THE MENU LISTED BELOW IS NOT OUR CURRRENT MENU - WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. Watersview Restaurant is Lake Gaston's Premiere Lakefront Dining Experience. We offer a wide range menu of steak, seafood, chicken and pasta dishes. We have weekly
It took this restaurant over 1 hour to cook 2 burgers and two plates of linguine alfredo. No special requests like no salt. And our order was made within 5 minutes of seating. What is more significant is that we were seated at 410pm...well outside peak lunch or dinner hour. The restaurant was 1/3 full at best. Extremely disappointing how long they took and not a single apology.

Stopped in here today after visiting the Cryptozoology and Paranormal Museum a few blocks away. It is a bright spot on the main drag through Littleton. Look for the winged pig statue on the sidewalk outside the front door, and you'll know you've come to the right place.Turkey, pork, and chicken bbq, great sides, good sauce, friendly folks, and a bright, clean enviroment surrounded by a wide variety of smiling pigs and other bbq style decor. What more could you want? I had the combo plate which came with chicken and turkey bbq, hush puppies, fries, and black eye peas (there are other sides, but I got these) The sauce is typical eastern NC vinegar based, which is probablymy favorite. The portions were good-sized, flavorful, and tasty. I wish I had gotten a couple orders of the hush puppies to go. The place is locally owned and operated and had a mix of local folks and some ramblers like ourselves, but everyone we spoke to smiled and spoke back. That makes for a more pleasant atmosphere.I'm planning a trip back to Littleton in the next couple weeks to take some photos of a bunch of the older buildings, and to explore the nearby Medoc Mountain State Park. I'll be going back to Grandpa's Kitchen for a return trip also. Swing by there if you're passing through, you'll be glad you did, and as always, Happy Motoring.
