This place has amazing specialty pizzas. The pesto steak pizza is ah-maz-ing. Initially when my husband suggested we go here, I thought âto get pizza.... â. Iâm so happy we went. The black bean and chicken pizza which contained avocado and jalapeño was absolutely delicious. I canât wait to re-visit this place. I also had jalapeño poppers which were ok. I gave this place a perfect score based on the pizza alone. You will NOT be disappointed. I saw a lot of nachos and burgers being ordered from other tables. So I assume those items must be tasty too.

On days when I need to head our early, this place is open at 5:30. For breakfast sandwiches and bagels I think there are better options in the area but most do not open until 6:30-8:00 or so. I will say service has improved over time, but that might be because I have been there several times. I think when it comes to ingredients, the shop could benefit from an upgrade. Better kaiser rolls from the local bakery and perhaps. I also think that bagels should be traditional size and Mountain Lakes Bagel is making them larger and larger, it might be personal preference and if you go there on a weekend morning its certainly packed with folks ordering away.

We met friends here for lunch and what a nice surprise. This restaurant is busy and deservedly so. They offer a wonderful breakfast menu ranging from French Toasts, eggs, omelettes, breakfast burritos and crepes. For the health conscious, they offer avocado toast. Lunches include a nice variety of sales, sandwiches, wraps and cali & pity bowls. So much to choose from and all very delicious. The crepes here are huge in portion-enough to share. We found them to be a bit dry though. Would definitely return!

Had the pleasure of eating dinner here tonight after passing this restaurant for a week since we arrived on vacation. A pleasant upscale feeling ambiance with very good service. The beer and wine menus are limited, but do provide options. Food was prepared to order and was good, though the meatloaf was dry. I had the taco salad and it was delicious. We had the chips and guacamole (menu says that you get three dips, NOT a choice of one), appetizer and it was very good. Will definitely consider returning to Tavern 292 again, and will recommend it to others.

The food is always consistent, staff is friendly, prices are reasonable and itâs a good local place for a burger, salad, pizza etc. The place could use updating but overall itâs decent.

The curious thing about this restaurant is that whenever we go (usually for an industry-sponsored dinner), the bar is busy but the restaurant itself is empty. As a non-drinker I cannot rate the bar, but it seems to be popular. If you're primarily coming to drink, you'll probably be happy with the food, but as others have noted, it's not up to basic steakhouse standards; the steaks come smothered in butter. Sides are quite adequate, however, so as bar food, they are probably just fine. The big conference room in back is a good venue for meetings.

The carpets look very dirty, my home fries were completely burned & the old reheated oil smell was terrible, my wife's beef cheesesteak it was completely dry & their waffle fries were terrible because of the reheated oil smell, this place used to be amazing... sad to see it going down the road.

The good: 3 couples and everyone liked their food, but for some reason we expected more. Service was very good but there was an annoying little error. Restaurant was trendy but also very noisy. Prices were a little higher than comparable venues. Overall, it was a very good restaurant but but I don't think we will be going back

Traveling thru Wayne, NJ and came across this gem thru trip advisor. We were lucky to get a late night reservation. A little reluctant when we drove up the dark residential street to find our destination which looked rather grim from the outside but we went in anyway. So charming! A fabulous and delicious dinner - three of us ordered appetizers, salads, entree and desert and coffee. Everything was absolutely top notch. Too bad we only had time to try a few of the amazing cocktails - and the bread â all yummy. The service was over the top. We counted 7 staff members in a semi circle around us as they presented our entrees - Not overwhelming or interrupting but attentive to our every need. If we lived close by, we would definitely be regulars at this great find.
