It is the principal city of the Lewistown, PA Micropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Mifflin County. It lies along the Juniata River, 61 miles (98 km) northwest of Harrisburg. The number of people living in the borough in 1900 was 4,451; in 1910, 8,166; in 1940, 13,017; and in 2000, 8,998. The population was 8,338 at the 2010 census. Of the four communities in the United States named "Lewistown", this borough is the largest.

Stopped by here at 1015am on a Saturday needing 60 pieces of chicken for a family party and I had not made a pre-order. I was delighted to be out the door not even 10 minutes later with 60 pieces of hot KFC chicken, regular, extra crispy and grilled and onto my event! Great fast service! When the manager learned I was purchasing 60 pieces, she offered to place the chicken in aluminum tray pans and cover with heavy aluminum foil, without any additional charge, instead of using the traditional KFC buckets. This really was great for serving!

The subways are starting to over price their food. The quality is ok but the prices are out of control. I can get a better cheese steak for less at most of the local restaurants. It's disappointing that they don't honor the corporate coupons.

Halfway point for us to meet with family and this place could be really great but needs improvements.Pros: Great service! Super friendly employees and spot on service. Food was good! Some of the things we ordered were the quesadillas, buffalo wrap, wings, fish and chips and fries. The fries are handcut and really good but could have been crispier. The fish and chips was a really small portion but flavorful. Drinks were great and very reasonably priced. Cons: Wow does this place ever need remodeling! The seats in the booths are all ripped and cracked. The bathrooms need some major TLC. It didn't seem very clean in there either and had a stale smell in the entire restaurant.We heard they have great drink specials during the week so I wish we lived closer!

They have specials every day and I'm sure there are people who mark their calendars to return on that day to take advantage of their home cooking. The woman who opened this had a dream for years to have her own restaurant and achieved that with this little place. My only regret is it is not open on the weekends. That time is devoted to her family. You have to give her credit for sticking to her principals, so plan ahead. She is open until 8 pm most week nights - which is helpful.

We stopped in at BDGC for the first time last evening and were pleasantly surprised with the overall atmosphere and the food. The dinning/bar area is very clean and well kept. Yes, some of the seats are a bit worn, but it it was nice to eat in a restaurant/bar that did NOT smell of old smoke! This impressed us. The service was prompt and everyone very friendly even though it was apparent we were not regulars. Now to the food! I had the garden cheesesteak, which was incredible! One of the best cheese steaks I've had in a very long time. My wife had the cheeseberger sliders, which were very tastey and quite filling. The french fries are fresh cut and cooked perfectly! We were very impressed and plan to try out their other offerings and their breakfast in the near future!

Four of us tried Cora's for the first time for lunch and were very impressed. Our sandwiches were all good, and large enough to take half along. Our server (Dana?) was really pleasant and helpful. We even stopped at a time when they offered a draft beer with a special price and free glass. We will definitely stop here again.

Recently ate at Sal-lees and we had decent food. The food was prepared properly and served within a decent time. The service was a little slow and we had to ask for drink refills every time. She did not check on the table enough. The place is quaint and neatly decorated. Because of distance and the service doubt I will return anytime soon.

I wish they weren't an hour and a half away, because this place is awesome! Good food, great beer, and amazing people. Whether interacting with a first-timer like me or the local regulars, the staff were all so pleasant and welcoming. Very much looking forward to my next visit!

Excellent Italian cuisine. Subs, sandwiches and just plain bread with dinner are out of this world with fresh baked chewy (in a GOOD way) bread. Large and varied menu. Excellent service. Clean and comfortable dining room. Prices were very reasonable. Take out area was hopping as well.

Stopped here on the way back from Penn State on Saturday evening. Tasty ribs, pulled pork sandwiches and wings. The fresh cut fries were a favorite of the table along with the coleslaw. Good selection of craft beers at reasonable prices. Will definitely be back again.
