My wife and I bought our sandwiches here and then brought them to a bed and breakfast so we didnât need to go out on a cold winterâs night. We thought their roast beef and turkey were excellent and exactly what we were looking for!
If you can find the Mountainville Cafe (and who doesn't have a GPS these days), you are in for a surprising treat. It is smack in the middle of a tiny, scenic village. We've only done brunch there, but it is outstandingly delicious. Some many mouth-watering choices and the BEST service ever.Reservations are a must as it is such a small place. Recently we popped in of an afternoon and were graciously welcomed and served tea/coffee and dessert in the middle of the day. I hesitated writing a review because it is such a wonderfully hidden spot known only to the lucky few, but they deserve all the business they can get. The owners and staff are so hard-working and really go out of their way to welcome folks. We are looking forward to having dinner there soon. The menu looks great.

We don't come here often. Had some business here, so stayed for dinner. Sitting at the table by the outside area. 4 min pass, 8 min pass. Finally the waiter that passes us 5 times took our order. Came right back with drinks. A Friday at 6:45 and they have 4 empty tables, so they are not crowded. They have a large menu of many different meal selections. The bar and dining areas are combines. So it will get noisy. They do have a glass room for those adventurous. It is heated/cooled and empty. They have Comcast Wifi, decent parking lot, ramp access. I had a plain cheesesteak, very good, and the wife, one of their burger variations, very good too. No deserts, too stuffed. There are 6 TVs all on sports. After they "found us", things went fine. It's now 7:30 and every table is full.Thank you for your review! We just remodeled the glass house btw. Hope to see you soon!

Led by Chef/Owner Josh DeChellis, Juniper Hill is a modern rustic restaurant and bar serving simple and seasonal food prepared with the best offerings from nearby farms and carefully chosen purveyors. The menu blends ingredients from around the world to d
Interesting combinations of flavors I haven't seen anywhere else. I appreciate the vegan and vegetarian options.I loved the free onion-potato bread served with humus.I highly recommend the strawberries & sprouts starter with ricotta cheese; I believe this was listed on the menu under salads but there are no greens. Either the ricotta cheese, the dressing or both were sweet. The strawberries were sweet too.For entree, I requested a vegan platter consisting of the three "SIDES" that were offered on the menu: roast potatoes, asparagus with chickpeas (and herbs), and sweet & sour cauliflower/broccoli with lots of golden raisins. The roast potatoes are oily but I forgive them because they're delicious. All three of these "SIDES" is delicious. This platter was large enough to feed two people. When ordered as sides, the portions are also too large for one person, so I recommend sharing. My favorite item was the pineapple basil sorbet. Lots of fresh basil gave this dessert a delicious kick. I didn't particularly taste pineapple; the sorbet seemed to resemble mango more than pineapple. I hope they still have this dessert when I return.I also recommend the olive oil cake served with vanilla cream, cherries and cherry sauce. A wonderful combination. The cake was not too sweet and I definitely detected the taste of a flavorful olive oil. My husband and I shared this cake and the pineapple basil sorbet, and the two desserts complemented each other. Not as outrageously delicious as the strawberries and sprouts starter, but an interesting combination of flavors, is the avocado grapefruit bowl with rice and grated fresh horseradish. My husband ate this on two different occasions, and loved it the time the horseradish was freshly grated and very strong.I do not recommend the tuna entree. The tuna was fresh, well seasoned and well prepared, so I ate all the tuna, and I picked out all the sweet pieces of mango, but I disliked the sour kimchi flavoring of the rice noodles, cabbage and other items served with the tuna. The cheese plate on the dessert menu is fine but not the best I've had.The bar offers a long list of interesting bourbons. I thought it interesting that the list of bourbons was much longer than the list of scotches, and I am a bourbon fan.My favorite tables for two people are the two near the front windows.Request a seat cushion if you wish.On both occasions when we dined here, service was slower than at other restaurants, although the servers are friendly and helpful.

Believe this restaurant used to be located a few miles away and have been there a few times over the years, but this last visit picking up a take-out pizza and having a beer as I stepped off the train was disappointing. The menu is inviting, too bad it doesnât payoff in the food. I was promised the pizza quickly, but it never came, then they said 3 minutes (but 10 passed) then one minute (and another 10 passed...) In total I had to ask multiple times and it took well over 20 minutes past when they said it would be out. I long finished my beer and was just waiting while my pick driver waited in the parking lot. Everyone was upset. They never offered a comp beer while I waited. When the pizza finally came out they didnât throw in something else as an apology. Then when we got home and tried the pizza it was no better than the store-bought freezer pizza. It got a touch better when it was reheated to full temperature, but overall lacked flavor and good quality ingredients. Will not return.

While the ground beef was top knotch, the fries were lacking flavor. There was something very average about the whole experience. 11.00 for a Joe Iced tea and a cheesburger special was a little steep for lunch. Not sure I would go back.Hi! The Store is under new ownership since you visited. Come back and give us a try! Lots of oomph!

First time there was alittle disappointed our server was very laid back, didnât get my order right. We started with the fig appetizer which was outstanding and would highly recommend. For beverages my hubby had beer which was very cold and refreshing . I ordered a dirty goose martini with olives, martini was very cold but hardly dirty. For our entrees I had the filet mignon special and added a lobster tail meat medium rare. Meat came out medium well no pink at all was tender but dry. Lobster tail was excellent. My husband order the beef Wellington which was overdone. Wellington should be served rare or medium rare which he ordered while it was tasty both meats were overdone. Restaurant has a good atmosphere and everyone was nice just not attentive to details.Hello Darla,I am so sorry your dining experience was less than perfect. Please know we will be looking into this and I am confident we can correct these points. I would like to hear more about your experience and offer you a gift card for you to try us out again.Thank you for the feedback Christina ManietOperations ManagerAlpha Hospitality [email protected]

Took my Dad here for his 86 birthday breakfast. Their chipped beef is tasty. I spilled my water as we were finishing up and our waitress was so kind. Thanks.

We eat and bring friends here regularly as they serve high quality and locally sourced food. They are also gluten-free. During the summer, one can dine on their deck along the river and it is beautiful with lots of flowers. We have never been disappointed here.

Quickly greeted and seated. Water offered immediately as we sat down along with Menus. There is a separate drink menu with innovative different drinks. Waitstaff kept table cleared and waitress read out the specials. It was during a heatwave and restaurant was nice and cool. Has a ramp for handicap entry. Plenty of parking and easy to find from route 22. Food is very good and looks like a good bar scene.
