I parked in the lot behind Mimmo's and we entered via the rear door. I thought I was going into a "dive". We were greeted by two "greeters" and then in front of us was a gentleman who may have been the Manager. The dining room was HUGE and the ceiling was probably over 30 feet. Very impressive. Our server Amber, was superb. She was very attentive and insured we were completely satisfied with our experience at Mimmo's.I was not surprised when the manager came to our table and said that he wanted to make sure we well taken care of and enjoyed our meals. My wife had a Mediterranean salad with grilled shrimp and I had Eggplant Parmesan, made with fresh eggplant.

Love the place, its just a little expensive. We got the burger and it was ok nothing special and the meat was to expensive.Hi Cynthia! Weâre so glad you enjoyed our place. As a small business our prices are higher than grocery stores but we do aim to have the best meat in town. Hopefully, youâll give us another try someday and remember everything is sold by the pound so you can get as little or as much as youâd like. Just ask to speak to Butcher Chad and he will personally take care of you!

We were visiting Laurel Mississippi and wanted a seafood place. Blue Crab was easy to find and had a large menu. Customer service was spot on for us. Catfish and gulf shrimp along with homemade sauces won us over. The Mac and cheese side is homemade. Will visit again!

In Laurel for a ball game and came here to eat before the game. Small place with rustic atmosphere. Ribs are excellent, meat falls off the bones. Pulled pork is also very good. Service was friendly and efficient. They have really good homemade pound cake made by a local home baker.

On a "girl trip" with two college friends of almost 50 years, we had researched The Loft beforehand, and it was recommended again when we arrived in Laurel. The space is in the heart of downtown, with original hardwood floors, brick walls, and wooden beams.Unfortunately, this decor, while charming, did not muffle the sound. We were there on a Thursday night around 7 PM; they have music many evenings, and although we were seated right next to the solo guitarist, we could barely hear his songs. HOWEVER, the food was wonderful! We shared an order of bacon cheese fries, then went separate ways for entrees: One friend had the shrimp alfredo, the other had the grilled shrimp salad, while I had the rib-eye po-boy, which came with a side, and I chose a house salad with the blue cheese dressing they are famous for. The meat just melted in my mouth, perfectly cooked. I want to go back!

My family and I stopped here for lunch while passing through the area. We had seen the restaurant advertised on a couple of billboards and, after seeing the online reviews, decided to give it a try. This restaurant has the âfeelâ of a fast-food place but is way better. No buffet while we were there. The menu offered several options, from breakfast biscuits and sausage, to burgers and fries / tots, chicken, etc. Friendly staff and delicious food, at a decent price. We would like to eat here again next time we are in the area.

I got the combo plate with pulled pork and ribs. Both meats had a good flavor but neither had a strong bbq smoke flavor. The baked beans were good not great and the potato salad was homemade and tasted great. I was a little disappointed that you were give an plain piece of bread which was not toasted. The bbq sauce was a peppery Memphis style which was flavorful but not overpowering. With a large tea it was $18 which is about what most bbq places charge now. I would eat here again

I was in town for business and had the opportunity to eat lunch at this little gem. The service was great. I never had an empty tea glass and it was served with a smile. The burger I had was outstanding. The wait was a little long both getting seated and waiting for food leading me to think the kitchen might have been a little overwhelmed. Overall it was a very satisfying lunch.
