This has to be the best new restaurant Iâve been to in a long time. Lots of menu options that cater from vegan to meat options as well! They even have the impossible patty, that I now like better than real meat! The chia pudding is also to die for! Must try this place.

Great service and great food. Was concered with such an huge menu the food quality would be average but was pleasantly surprised how good and delicious everything was. Ordered the fried chicken sandwhich and it was cooked to perfection, the chicken was nice and moist it was great, only complaint it started to fall apart when eating it. Also sampled the desert trio but unfortunately when ordering we were not advise one of the deserts wasn't available so when it was delivered to the table we had dark chocolate cake twice and the peach apple cobbler once without asking which we would prefer.
Parking here was easy on a Friday night. There were plenty parking spots around this place. The drive-thru was long though. Upon walking in, we were greeted by an employee. We were next in line to order. The young girl who took our order was nice and happy. She seemed she loved working here. After we placed our order for our chicken sandwiches, we got our table number and got us a table. The tables were rather clean. I noticed there were a lot of students eating here. I am told it is because Biola University is close by. After about five minutes or so, we got our food. I ordered the deluxe chicken sandwich with a side of guacamole. The buns and meat were cooked to perfection. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. The fries were not crispy as I would like, but I still enjoy them. After we finished eating our meal, we decided to get some dessert on the way out. Time for some cookies and cream milkshakes. While waiting for our shakes, I decided to use the restroom. The men's restroom was clean. There was some loose tissue paper around the sink. Not bad. Our shakes were handed to us at our table. It tasted great as expected. Then we left.

This restaurant did not disappoint, was my first time dinning here and the staff was amazing, my waiter was so helpful and friendly, which I remembered his name! Because it was a first time you get a little tin cup of House WAFFLE FRIES oh my gosh!! YUM!! get in my tummy!!! I had the Half Sandwich and Salad - I opted for Half of Chicken salad which was fresh hearty and tasty, a wedge salad with feta cheese bacon tomato it was just the correct size and hit the spot!!We had an appetizer - Chicken lettuce wraps - Honestly I could of just ate this and been happy, so many flavors LOVED IT! Guest had Grilled Lemon Chicken and raved about the cauliflower mash, it was a large serving! Butter Cake.... End of!! sooo good! For the price and over all experience it was well worth it, Very Casual atmosphere you can sit outside as well, it was very busy when we arrived but had no issues getting seats and enjoying!

Every once in a while, Taps does a special dinner paired with wine. This time around it was paired with Scotch and Whiskey! This was a 3 course meal paired with a wide palette for Scotch & Whiskey drinkers: from mild (Suntory Scotch) to a heavy mossy Laphroaig for the 2nd course and Jim Beam, Black Extra Aged for the final course.Approximately, 70 people joined the occasion, held out in the patio area, may have not been the best location, since the patio is next to Imperial Highway and with evening traffic, the hearing competition was at it's highest. The Chef has a culinary series, a farm vineyard to table specials and this one was Interesting: 1- Tempura Squash Blossom paired with Japanese Scotch. 2-House Cured Skuna Bay Salmon paired with Laphroaig Scotch. And lastly, Bourbon marinated Duck Breast with the Jim Beam Whiskey. All 3 pairing were very good. Price fixe dinner was $69 each. Not Bad! But, it did not include dessert nor coffee, which in my mind should have been. The allocation of Scotch & Whiskey was to say, minimal. So, as compared to Wine, I would like to have a little more offerings to savory the taste of scotch with the meal. All in all, it was a nice evening, joined by John, my Father-in-law and my Son, Noah. And Cheers to Noah, on to the Wharton MBA program.Cheers to Noah, indeed! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback and enjoying our World of Whisky 3 course dinner, along with your son, father-in-law and John. We do have these events often, so your feedback is definitely helpful in making sure we provide you with an even better experience the next time. Thank you again, we hope to enjoy a return visit from you in the future.

Eclectic california cuisine/happy hour/onsite retail wine shop/hidden gem/must try
The Cat and Custard restaurant is a wonderful venue that has set a high standard year after year. The menu has changed a little over time but the offerings are always top notch in presentation and flavor. There are not really any nearby restaurants with same class and style. The decor is warm and relaxing, and there is a nice patio for summertime dining or simply enjoying horderves and a glass of wine.I try to bring my out of town guests to dinner at the Cat, and they always enjoy the meal and service.
