If you want to have nice burger in Kuopio, go to Morton's. As a side you can choose potato or sweet potato fries. They are both very good. You can choose salad for your dish as well. Dishes are quite prizy but there is a special offer every day. Morton uses local products, which is a great plus. Also the service is excellent. It is highly recommended!

Dinner with colleagues, very testy meat, nice cake, fast and precise service. Beer not so good. During the week it close at nine. Funny bowling after dinner.

This restaurant is a part of Scandic Kuopio Hotel but it is open for everybody. Kids' playroom is situated on the lower floor.The restaurant specializes in Scandinavian food. Everything was extremely delicious, at least starters and main dishes. However, I didn't like my dessert. My dessert was named as "Suklaa & Kahvi" and it included some chocolate cake, espresso ice cream and passion puree. The "chocolate cake" meant only dry chips which tasted like rye bread. The classic chocolate fondant would be much better. Our teens ate chocolate mousse and it was very delicious. The Finnish specialty of cloudberry parfait and white chocolate mousse seemed to be good, too.They have very little choices for vegetarians, mainly salads and tofu burgers.The interior of the restaurant is very nice and atmospheric. Also the neighborhood is very beautiful. The restaurant is situated between the harbor and Väinölänniemi Park, next to a swimming beach.
